I'm looking at the Sight (which I would turn into a 160/170 with Vivid/Zeb). I'm 6' 3.5" and the Norco puts me easily on an XXL. I pedaled a Norco Sight VLT size 4 yesterday (XL equivalent) around a parking lot. The bar height felt low and too close. (short headtube and 20mm rise bar installed) and could be remedied with a higher rise bar. The seated bike position felt quite short.
Norco sizing looks so skewed - Reach on size 4 is 497.5mm and 522.5 on the size 5. But size 5 is recommended for 6' 1"+ !!
So ... how tall are you and what size did you order?

At 6'4 youre prolly be set on a 5. More so as its dubbed an AM ebike, longer better for this category. I got a 3, Im 177cm.

First ride today. 20ish miles and 3000ft. 1st high pivot bike, seems legit esp on fast, rough straights. Customization on the flow app is pretty amazing. I have Conti tires on my kenevo sl, same casing, these oem versions seem softer, by that I mean they squirm/fold more. I had 43% left after the ride, impressive. Now just waiting on that damn digital display.

I took my new Sight out the other day - the same C2 version as you. Used to have a Gen3 Levo. This thing is awesome! It handles great, the motor is powerful, it's insanely quiet descending. This is my first high pivot bike and it's noticeable just how plush it feels on sharp edge bumps. Can't wait to test it out more.

I have done a little work on it just with the seatpost install and re-routing brake lines. I must say I enjoy working on it, it's well thought out with the internal guides. The fit and finish on all the frame parts is top notch.

My ride was quite leisurely - something like 23 miles, quite a lot of elevation, but mostly in Sport mode (just below Turbo). Battery was at 65% still. Glad they spec'd the 800Wh battery.

I am 6ft tall and went with the size 4. It feels right. Much like my S5 Levo.

Yeah seems lighter and more nimble than whats expected of a 50lb full power ebike. And yes the quietness is amazing. Ive modified my power settings as emtb stock seems to lack the more instant response I want. I toned down the turbo setting coz its waaay too kicky. What Im waiting for is that damn digital display coz Bosch doesnt link with Garmin.

The new display will be nice. I wonder if Norco will spec it standard or if it's only going to be an upgrade part. I'm waiting for that Bosch firmware update that will give us 100Nm of torque :D

Lol bruh I dont need 100nm, and 800wh on d batt is plenty. Im so used to a 35nm kenevo sl, 85 is plenty. I also had a Levo for maybe 3 or 4 mos logged only 200mi before I sold it. That had the cascade lt link and it was a monster. The new Levo seems coo too but 53lbs stock seems backwards to me. I for sure thought the new levo will be like 46lb or something. Good thing I didnt wait and got the Norco.

Question for you vlt cx owners: how does the fork feel? Stiff enough? Would you prefer a 38 or zeb?

Im going to put my 38 soon. The 160mm lyrik is pretty good (I swapped my 2023 lyrik ult), but on some steep stuff I felt it was a bit sketch. It does the job, just a lil sketch. Im also putting a coil shock still deciding what. Lol

Up on another site shows a pick to a long shocked Sight Vlt c3 running a RS SD coil 160mm and fox 38 170mm... yep all seems doable... commented very impressive, while coming from the Range Vlt...

There is a Range vlt cx coming with the same frame just long stroked to 65mm so 160mm rear.
It uses a 170mm 38 forks.
Really interesting bike but strange geo (for me). At 182cm I am used to 475mm reach +- and think it's optimal .
The s3 with 170 is around 467 reach (ok ish) but short wheelbase and s4 with 170 is around 492, which is huge for me .
I will try to demo one soon and will see.

Did you put in on the scale on this build? Looks amazing btw.
Not yet. But my guess would be 51 lbs. Stock wt from Norco is 49ish lbs, with a sdluxe shock and a lyrik. Ive got a 38 plus a coil shock now. Only thing left I wanna swap are the wheels. I want the WAO Triads, maybe some Oneup hubs. Might also get the new 200mm Reverb axs dropper.

I had the chance to ride an S5 (I'm 6'2") and it felt amazing. I thought the S4 (497 reach) would be the choice because my Santa Cruz is 500 and feels great, and my Kenevo SL was 510 and felt a bit long. S5 is 522, which should be ridiculously long, but it felt right. The S4 (granted, only a parking lot test of that size) felt very upright and cramped. Weird, since it is so close in geo to my current bike. I even did some tight uphill switchbacks on it. Despite the really long wheelbase, it was fine.
I'm curious about the new Range. I would be tempted to overstroke and overfork the Sight for the chunky steeps I ride. If the Range is going to be basically that but with some geo corrections, that would be a great bike.

ld be questioning on frame travel reduction down to 160mm.... When the Ranges burlier enduro's sets these bikes apart with 170mm out back.... Could it be possible Norco uses different rocker links to extend shock position increasing the travel while utilising same frames.... keeping with the 180mm fork....

Norco will prolly use a different link to get 170mm in the back with a 65mm stroke. Think Vala-Bullit conversion. This would be way sicker tho with a high pivot layout and bigger battery. Lol

Yep took on the exact 2 SC bikes as a rolling comparison here...

Keen to hear further on your build rides as a 170mm 160mm... Nice rig btw.... this balance with your Sight's added travel, while rolling different trail gradient plus design around high pivot....

Id imagine blurs Range - Sight.... to trail play feel feedback as stock 150mm 160mm.... but with extra mid to hold up ploughable controlling an offline moment, compensating traction, clearing out from high pivot......

The Range will be the same frame just with 65mm stroke and 160mm travel.
I think that with the high pivot the 160 will actually "feel" like more.

Never ran mine stock at 150 coz I immediately swapped the shock to 65mm as soon as I got the bike. But with the theoretical 162mm in the rear it feels very plush for what it is. I have an overstroked Kenevo sl at almost 180mm in the rear, and this feels plusher. Similar to a Levo with the LT cascade link.

And so damn quiet. Its amazing.

Does the VLT look real 'pregnant' in real life with the 800 watt battery?

I'm pretty much down to the VLT or the Regulator.

I don't really need the 800 watt battery and prefer a lighter weight, but the geo just seems ideal on the VLT and it's got HP goodness going on as well.

Not really. Downtube quite a bit girthy, I cant strap it down my Yakima tailgate. But doesnt look out of proportion, eg. Tadpole look of the gen3 Levo.

I'd love to see your real world final weight with coil suspension & pedals, plus your size.

How much of your battery are you utilizing on your typical rides?

Will try to get a weight later today. S3 size, using Sprindex 450-500lb spring, at 450lb rn feels ok, might be a bit over sprung Ill prolly switch to my lower wt 430lb Sprindex. Im about 172lb kitted.

Ive only done three 16-18mi, 2800 to 3k ft each, still have 40% left. 70% emtb, 30% turbo. I could get 30mi easily if mostly emtb mode.

Ok weighed the thing, 52.8lbs. Yep, quite hefty. My gen3 Levo with the cc lt link, float x2 and fox 38 was about 49.5lbs. I might get a lw steel spring once I figure out my exact spring wt. New wheels hopefully shave a lb or so. We'll see. I feel the 53lbs when I load it on the truck, haha.

The stock fork is fine from a stiffness perspective - the Lyrik it comes with is an e-bike rated fork, which I think means it's stiffer (but not 100% sure on the RS stuff).

I will be putting the new 2026 FOX 36 e-MTB fork instead of the 38 because that new chassis generation has several improvements that improve friction/plushness and I don't ride hard enough to warrant the 38 in terms of travel. The e-MTB has thicker tubes and a thicker steerer for a stiffer chassis overall. I think the weight ends up being similar to a 38.

This coupled with a 205x65 shock will maintain static geo and make it a 160/160.

In person I think it looks fantastic and not bulbous at all. I think their color choices and angular downtube help here. The raw carbon is subtle versus some solid bright paint color.

Will post up pics as soon as I get the new parts installed.

to cut weight with a lighter fork makes sense to a point but stifness is the last thing you want to cut on a ebike. Having 36 and 38 Fox forks, it not necessarily the stifness difference, having more volume, the air spring , the damping side, works much better.

What's funny that recently I've seen a post on Norco official website with a Fluid with a 38 on it , being a a bike in a lower ride category.

You can put the same damper in a 36 as 38 and tune your air volume spacers to make them comparable, probably? Could it be argued that you want more progression on an e-bike to deal with added weight and typically heavier riders?

To me it's definitely a balance with tradeoffs. More weight, more stiffness vs less weight, less stiffness. I'm not sure there's any way around the physics within the constraints of the platforms we have available. So it just matters what is important to you
