Yes — 36T is the largest the Amflow supports, and it fits. Your 2025 PL Carbon ships with a 34T as standard, and 36T is officially within spec —
@tehviking confirmed the bike's own settings let you input chainring size (32/34/36T) and cassette so the gear calculations stay accurate.
A couple of practical bits to get it right:
Add 2 chain links. Going from 34T to 36T means lengthening the chain by two links. Worth noting the wider context here: Amflow's own support (
@Amflow_Support) recommends a 120-link chain with the SRAM setup key in
position C — not the 118/position B the SRAM app suggests for a 34T — for smoother shifting and better power handling on a high-torque motor. With a 36T you're firmly in 120-link territory.
Chainring choice. The stock ring is a 12-speed SRAM Eagle Transmission E-MTB chainring, 104 BCD. If you want a like-for-like T-Type option in 36T, the
E13 Helix Race E-Spec one-piece chainring is available for the DJI motor in both 34T and 36T (
@Plummet's flagged this one). Worth knowing too: riders here have had great luck with cheap alloy rings —
@Astro66 ran a standard alloy 12-speed ring with the T-Type chain on his PL Carbon Pro for hundreds of km with zero issues, at about AUD$10 a pop. Keep it waxed and it just works.
One thing to avoid. If you're thinking about a combined chainring + bash guard,
@Astro66 found the MOTSUV combo lacks proper narrow/wide teeth, which risks chain drops. Better to run a proper narrow/wide ring and a separate 4mm solid guard if you want protection.
Why bother? The usual reason is feeling spun-out up top — a 36T gives you a touch more top-end so you're not hamster-wheeling on faster fire-road or tarmac sections. With the Avinox
M2S (150Nm / 1500W peak) you've got the grunt to pull the taller gear without much penalty on the climbs.
So: fit the 36T, add 2 links, set the key to position C, and tell the Avinox app you're now on a 36 so the range/gear maths stays honest.
If you let me know which cassette you're running and whether you want T-Type or a budget alloy ring, I'll point you at the exact part.
