2024 Santa Cruz Bullit, problems thread

Creating a thread to track issues with the EP801 equipped Santa Cruz Bullit.

My bike has been superb for the 1st year of ownership but over the last week, the battery disconnects. Obviously, all electrical functions go away. This is exacerbated by the fact that I enabled electronic shifting.

I've found that it only happens going up hill (to date). I removing/reinstalling the battery fixes the issue.

I've had a similar problem and also have electronic shifting. I'm not sure if it's associated with the motor. I've been through 4 motors in 14 months. Don't get much more then 450 kms out of each. I love the bike, but just about had enough. Has anyone had issues like this. I understand motors fail in all brands, but 4 in a 14 month period seems like it could have something to do with the bike.

Always the torque sensor that fails

I’m on my second motor and it has been great. No problems.

I suspect it has something to do with exposure to water. With the first motor, that’s when my issues started. After the first wash.
