My motor started to cut out as I was riding along as though it was loosing power. I checked the obvious the wheel sensor and the battery plug all seem ok
Carried on riding it hoping it would clear then the motor started making a loud clunking noise. Far from happy as the bike is only 3 month old. I bought the bike over to Tarifa Spain to do some riding and now it's sat in a LBS waiting for a new motor. Specialised have got to get there act together and sort these. Problems out after the money we pay. Don't think I will be buying another levo. Rant over

Sounds EXACTLY same as my purchase, 3 months ago, nothing but trouble from day one.
First bike delivered then swapped for the one I have now. Now this bikes motor packed up and was replaced last week , only for that to pack up within 4 miles, totally shutting it down.
Another has been fitted yet again, if it goes tits up again it's money back time, I've had enough of it.
I'll never buy another ebike ever again. A consumer watchdog needs to investigate this ebike industry. There's people out there buying specialized simply for the reason that should the motor pack up its replaced relatively quibble free, as apposed to other ebike manufacturers, that says it all for me. The reliability of ebike motors needs sorting NOW.

I sympathise but when I hear stories like that all it infers to me is that the fault is not with the motor, but rather some other component in the electrical system, ( assuming it was not an obvious mechanical failure), and so even with a replacement motor the fault re- occurs. The problem being that most LBS have no idea how to fault find on an E Bike.
I had a 2019 Levo for 2.5 years, my mate the same and my son has had a 2021 Levo for a year. None of them suffered any problems. I have had a Whyte E180 ( bosch Gen4) for 18 months..........again no issues. So unfortunate as your experience has been it does not constitute a reason to investigate the motors in general.

The fault was the torque converter and was straight out of the box .
mmmm.........I wonder how they diagnosed that without taking the motor apart...which they are not allowed to do.............I think you mean torque sensor rather than torque converter.
