Any suggestions to find an answer?Good day all.
First post: I have a 2021 Specialized Turbo Levo Comp, 29-er front and rear. Thinking of trying the Schwalbe Shredda on the rear and I am wondering if it will fit or rub. Too costly to just try. Anyone have any info of their experience? TIA
Thanks MeatBike. Hope google is correct.Google suggests you can comfortably fit a 29x2.6 rear tyre on the '21 Levo, so a 29x2.5 Shredda should be fine.
Seems to take it from multiple sources (reviews etc). Thanks MeatBike. Hope google is correct.
Once again, thank you.Seems to take it from multiple sources (reviews etc).
Check the results yourself before you commit to a purchase.
Why not ask our own in-house AI "Ask Greg" (top left on the black banner). He has been hpouse trained on all the bike industry specs and all the Forum content. Even if you are reluctant to take what he says as 100% correct, it's a great place to start.Once again, thank you.
Got the bot when I first posted. No got. Anyway, I prefer human interaction mostly. Thanks for the advice though. Why not ask our own in-house AI "Ask Greg" (top left on the black banner). The Schwalbe radial tend to be smaller than their indicated size. I have a 2025 Levo which the manual specifies a tire size no larger than 2.4. I am currently running a 2.5 Schwalbe Albert (27.5”) and it has plenty of room. I’m not sure how Schwalbe measure their tires.Got the bot when I first posted. No got. Thanks for the photos! Mine are 29's and the worn DHF in the back doesn't have very much clearance. I contacted Schwalbe N. America and asked. They gave me the diameter and width measurements for a 30mm rim. Measuring the best that I could from the axle center it looks super close, both diameter and width at the front - same place as your picture. Will hate it if I purchase and install only to find out it rubs. Just don't know if my year bike is somehow different. Thanks again. The Schwalbe radial tend to be smaller than their indicated size. If you like the Schwalbe's, Bike Tires Direct has them at 30% off with free shipping until the end of April. I purchased another rear Albert for future use.Just for the interested.
I bit the bullet, installed (Hardest install ever!) and did a quick run. Enough clearance unless these monsters suck up a bolder.
Thank you G.M. For the heads up. I should purchase another set, but I might not wear these out. May be a 40% in the future. If you like the Schwalbe's, Bike Tires Direct has them at 30% off with free shipping until the end of April. I purchased another rear Albert for future use.
