1 - Saves the hassle of separately wirelessly micing someone up, saves time
2 - Less intimidating than a huge handheld mic being shoved in your face
3 - Can stand further away so you can still see the bike
4 - Covid

Before I watched the video, I was reading an MTB social media page where the young lads were taking the p!ss out of middle aged mid-life crisis men on ebikes in FOX tops

Then I watched the video and saw all these middle aged men on ebikes in FOX tops

(I can’t talk, I am the stereotypical overweight almost 50 bloke on an eBike )

Yep, it is funny. He says whilst wearing his fox top and being middle aged.

The thing is, it's not a mid life crisis if you've been doing it since you were 15 (not the ebike thing obvs)

I wear whatever CRC or Cyclestore have on offer in my size. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t seem to ever include Fox stuff.
Not wearing Fox also enables me to take the piss out of middle aged wannabes, isn’t that right @JetSetDemo and @Gibspark?

"Even" DIY Indeed, the horror of buying a Bafang kit and Liitokala battery from China for £600 and fitting it to a bike you can always convert back to normal - as opposed to spending multiple thousands on a ready-made eBike with a proprietary battery, with it impossible to convert the bike back to a normal bike.
