I had similar issues on a levo Gen 2 jumping between modes. The wire going into the remote had been stretched (probably during transport in a mates van). I had to get a new one. Disconnecting the remote from the TCU I could operate from the TCU button but that’s the old style 10 led version.
Agreed you need to tune into the subtle comments, pauses and camera shots of riding. For example on the guykes video he shows a levo pootling off into the distance on one of the climbs using boost mode whilst he’s putting in a shift in.
He says that on both the videos for some reason - it was the only fact mistake I noticed. There are comparisons in there of motor noise and different wheel sizes to see and hear.
Robs video transcript also leaked today.

Nah not this time EMBN are building up the might as well get FF and stick some lighter weight tyres and a smaller battery storylines before … “hang on a minute what’s this from Specialised - my mind is blown, cat amongst the pigeons, cake and eat it ….”. Well I hope anyway 😂
Anyone buying a Levo SL off the strength of that video might be looking forwards to riding tarmac uphill to the sound of a 1000 angry wasps for eternity.
I might do a flats winter experiment again on the eebs. The reason I ride clipless SPD pedals is I learnt to MTB on rigid bikes and they were a game changer back in the early 90's so kind of locked in to them. Some modern clipless SPD pedals have a large platform so can still be ridden unclipped...
I find the whine is awful on that SL motor I was wondering if the Performance Bearing upgrades might improve it at all? I’m tempted by the KSL because of flying options but the SLs are hardly flying out of the shops.
