To summarize what is said in the thread.
In order to use lights on the Bosch motor, you need to get the ports activated by your dealer.
When you activate the ports, you can set the power of the lights from 3W to ...?
The motor then automatically adjusts the cut off point for the battery to...
Read that thread, Low Battery Cutout for Bosch Gen4?
It explains a lot.
What I got from it. (This is my interpretation so might be wrong)
The displayed Percentage is what is available for assist, and takes into consideration the reserve for lights.
If your motor cuts of before 0%, this is...
A friend of mine has just bought a new Cube and gets this error. The shop said they needed to send the motor in. He hasn't done it yet.
I'll send him this trhead.
I feel your pain completely.
I absolutely love having built in lights that are always there, and always work without recharging. However, the early cut off is a pain in the royal ass. (I'm not royal by the way)
I try to take that into account when biking, and the remaining range display takes...
What I find extremely helpful since the last Kiox update, is you can see if your Phon is connected or not.
If it is not connected there is an Orange Dot on the main screen. When connected, then it is grey/white.
If the phone is connected then it always synchronises.
It doesn't blink or anything. Just suddenly the power stops.
That is where the Shimano was perhaps better, it would turn red, then automatically switch to Eco for the last few KM.
On the Kiox, it starts giving you low battery warnings starting from 30%.
Mine cuts off at 8%.. yeah found out the hard way. I had to push up a 16% road a couple of KM. Was on a day I did over 3000m climb, so I was exhausted too.
If you want to use a light on, you normally have to get it activated by your bike shop. With the Kiox, if you press the light button, then there is a symbol on the display.
I didn't know that it reduces the range but maybe explains something.
I have only run my battery completely empty once on a...
I didn't mention I got a new motor from Bosch the other day.
From taking my bike in to when I picked it up it took 11 days which I find pretty impressive.
The bike shop has to find time to take the motor out, send it to Bosch, then get the motor back and re-mount it on the bike. So you have no...
550 means short circuit. So can be caused by water or a cable problem. I had it when my lights cable wore through. Error came when I turned the lights on.
It was a Kiox. Was nasty as we found we had to climb an extra 480 m to our hotel, which was advertised as 6km out of town. Turns out that was as the crow flies, and up a mountain pass. I had to push for way too long! It was a rude shock when I was trying to nurture my battery and thought that...
