Be interested to hear how you get on with the Cycplus, I've been considering one of these. Basic model is heavier than my current pump but the "pro" with the pressure gauge is lighter than my pump and pressure gauge added together.
My worry is that I very very rarely need the pump, I can easily...
Thanks everyone for the replies.
My worry is that they have been saying they have fixed the issues multiple times over the last couple of years. When I have test ridden one it has seemed nice, quieter and more powerful than my SL though with a slightly less natural power application. I also...
Considering a Ride 60 equipped bike (latest motor). How is the reliability these days? I know there were a lot of problems in the past but have they improved? Would you buy again?
My current bike is a Levo SL and the motor and electronics have given me some problems but nothing that left me...
Sorry I don't have any useful info to impart but this is a subject I am interested in too but we would be doing the same sort of trip in early or late winter (late Nov or early March) to escape the rain. Any idea when the season is for this place and Ainsa/Fiscal?
Possibly should have provided this info at the start? I think you will find the current market split between full weight and light-weight bikes is mirrored in how people use the bikes. If you try to cater to everyone you will end up with a bike in no-man's land that no-one wants.
Personally I...
I talked to the Gates guys at the Taipei show yesterday. Sounds like the MGU is a long way off being available to most OEMs. Pinion just working with a few German speaking brands initially.
Frustrating, but makes sense and I'd rather they took this slow approach and got it right than rushed it...
Thanks for the write up and I look forward to follow ups.
I've been very happy with the Squirt liquid wax. I fully degrease the chain in brake cleaner a couple of times then allow to fully dry and then absolutely slather on the Squirt.
Seems to work really well including in our horrendously...
Yes, that's the link I posted previously but I narrowed it down to full sus emtbs and there were only 13 and it didn't include the Whyte suggesting that there are others not on the list. Hence the thread.
The problem with this approach for a manufacturer is that you risk losing sales to people who want the latest and greatest who will go to another brand to get it.
Found a thing on the Bosch site that lists KTM etc. But this doesn't include Whyte so I'm assuming it isn't a complete list.

Friend of mine just picked up an Orbea Rise M20 (carbon one) with some nice component upgrades a couple of years old for £2k. Seems like a very good deal to me. Yes, there isn't any warranty but at that price he can afford a few fixes if needed. The price drops for new bikes have really squeezed...
Maybe in Texas. Unfortunately on this little island there is now almost no-where you are allowed to ride off-road, nearly all the B.O.A.T.S. in the Peak District now have traffic orders on them banning anything with an engine. Haven't ridden my motorbike since getting the eMTB, which I can ride...
The motorbike frame is robot welded together in one size in 10 minutes from a dozen or so parts made from relatively cheap materials.
The typical carbon fibre emtb frame is made in 4+ sizes, laid up by hand in custom tooling from hundreds of panels from relatively expensive CF prepreg.
My phone does this too. When it gets down to 15% or so that last 15% goes much faster than the first 15% did. When it gets to 5% it is moments from shutting down.
This graph isn't the best but it gives an idea. That last 15% or so is far from linear and predictions are hard to make. You DO...
At this point, you just look like a Troll. You started this thread with a single sentence and refuse to back it up in any way shape or form.
None of the bike brands have a monopoly they are all competing for the same pie. Same goes for motor and battery manufacturers to a certain extent. If you...
I work for a bike company yes. But we don't currently make any ebikes but I have been working on our first for a while, hence I know what the parts cost and so can make a reasonable estimate of what the margins are like.
Emtbs are much more demanding than city bikes.
