You have to keep in mind though that Sam adjusts the calculations to the same size wh battery. Not total range.
It’s really useful but more of an efficiency comparison not full range test.
The stone you are talking about is basalt. It’s like a granite / cobble stones in the raw form. It’s black and volcanic which is why it’s probably described as coal stone. Lost in translation.
Spent a lot of time there, mainly on track 😂 but did visit the Nurburg castle and remember the black...
Not oil slick or Sam Hills 😂 but these get great reviews. I needed new ones and really pleased with them.
Good value at that price imo

I love them, think they are an awesome looking bike and would be my first choice if looking to replace my Levo.
Had a play around on the personalisation a few times and it’s similar to what I picked! 👍🏻 So good to see it in the flesh
Another vote for the trailcross goretex. I use these in winter with sealskins and they work well
Let in water eventually if out all day but I don’t think anything is 💯 waterproof
Trousers if there’s lots of rain / puddles helps as stops it going into the shoes
Do want to try the terrex tho...

Cheap and effective 👍🏻
To be honest, that's exactly where my thoughts were on that. Why would you give up the full fat motor and battery for what 1-2kg? Is there a huge saving on the transition or other Lightweights over similar spec Orbea?
This is the route we done when we was there. As mentioned by @James_C above.
Other than looking at the trail map, no real prep or planning and zero knowledge about the route.
We just headed off and hoped for the best 😂
All on 700wh specialised and 625 Bosch bikes.
Well all got round...
No, my LBS had a brochure. It had the new Sam and Jam2. 750 battery on the bosch system with the top tube display. the Jam looked very similar to the new cube / orbea. It was only a quick look, but he thinks it will be announced soon. Looked good though!
That must be new as wasn't available when I bought mine but at 60kg and the wider section for the clamp arms that looks a decent improvement over the standard one (y)
More suited to full fat full suspension emtb's!
