    Sold Nukeproof scout 275 V3 2023 - £1250

I built this a couple of years ago to go riding with my son as it was discouraging for him trying to keep up with the emtb. It’s only ever been gently ridden around the fire roads in my local woods. Still in mint condition. Just a stone chip near the BB and some rubbing on the derailleur. It’s...

I don’t even have the app on my phone anymore. Found it all a bit of a gimmick to be honest.

Does eBay still do zero commission offers?

Rules have just changed again. The above is true. The ‘seller fee’ went last year. Now it’s a ‘buyers fee’ which is 75p +4% for items up to £300, 2% over that. You now only get paid 2 days after buyer receives it if it’s tracked delivery. If untracked its 14 days! Business sellers are still on...

Should I get a motocross helmet or a full face mtb helmet which one would be better

I wore my motocross lid for a day when I first got the emtb. It sucked.

2025 Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 HPC Race 800 or One44 HPC SLX 800 dilema.

I’m in the uk and bought my cube from a shop miles away. My local cube/bosch dealer would deal with warranty on both but only for parts, not labour.

2025 Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 HPC Race 800 or One44 HPC SLX 800 dilema.

Only differences are fork, shock, brakes, shifter and rims. Unless he’s really going to push limits I’m sure he’d be happy with either.

    Tapping power off E-bike battery

I had the biketrax, got the connect module when it was released, then went back to the biketrax when the free subscription ended. On balance I prefer the biketrax because it can track at any time, the connect module only track when you report as stolen. The biketrax can be installed anywhere...

    Tapping power off E-bike battery

It’s just a single cell lipo I got off eBay. There’s hundreds to choose from. The cable that comes with it is only supposed to fit in the motor cover. I managed to get it to fit in the frame above the motor by poking it through the charge port hole and feeding the cable down. This will only...

    Tapping power off E-bike battery

I fitted a powunity biketrax to my bike. It has its own 1000mah backup battery that lasts 3 weeks on its own and you can get a twin battery harness for it. I just replaced the battery with a 5000mah and it lasts around 3 months. You will need some soldering skills to do this though. It’s...

    Bosch warranty

My local cube dealer would only cover parts on warranty, not labour, as I bought the bike elsewhere. Took me over 3 weeks just to get a replacement battery.

Purion 200 or Purion 400 "downgrade"

I swapped out the kiox 300 for the purion 200. No regrets. But then the only thing I’m interested in seeing battery level.

    Are AXS upgrade worth it?

I got my original axs derailleur and dropper for about 50%RRP on eBay. They’re great but if I’m honest, it’s a lot of money for marginal gains. Not sure I’d want to pay full price for them.

    ETMB disappointment

What I’ve realised is that if I expect to exceed the limit, I’ll ride in eco. That way I’m in a low enough gear when I hit the limit to power past it. Well, that was before I derestricted it!

    Tubeless advice

Well the guy who converted them for me seems to have only used narrow gaffa tape and they were trouble free for years. Barely even had to pump them up and I only topped up sealant for the first time a few months ago. I did clean quite a bit of sealant off the tire bead. I had always assumed the...

    Tubeless advice

I’ll always bounce tires around to get them seated right, tubeless or not. When I did the front I took it for a ride straight away but I didn’t have time today for the rear. So it’s just been bounced around and spun lots with the bike in the stand. I assumed as I’m reusing tyres that have...

    Tubeless advice

I had the same problem with the residue tape on the first one. Took a good hour to clean. With the second I was much more careful to peel it back on itself and it came off quite clean. I think it helped that the edges weren’t rolled up like the first one. Everything has been cleaned with wd40...
