I have an edge 520 that works fine with my trance pro 2 . Does everything I need think they are discontinued may be some going cheap on eBay ?

    New Trance X e+ 1

Tried to register my bike on the website and your right its asking for a lock number that my bike clearly doesn't have as its just an allen key . If this applies to you during product registration simply enter ‘no key ‘ into the field and it will let you proceed and complete the registration...

    New Trance X e+ 1

Hi there ! Don’t know the answer to both your questions , in fact it’s made me realise I haven’t even registered the bike with Giant so I best get it sorted . Regarding the mudguard I haven’t found one that fits the front yet . On the rear I have a removable crud catcher but it only protects...

    Tubeless ready E bike optimized

Job done no need for rim tape or patch under the valve . The muc off valves have a choice of 3 different base seals one of which fits the rim perfectly. Giant sealant went into the valve straight from the bottle no need to use syringe . Used the tips provided in this thread so thanks all . It...

    Tubeless ready E bike optimized

thanks for the reply , I’ve ordered the muc-off valves that appear to have a decent size seal on the bottom will see what they look like when fitted to rim but I do rather like the idea of a piece of inner tube or even maybe a large inner tube patch to help the seal around the presta valve ...

My understanding is the rims are ready no need for extra tape to be applied ?

The lower shock mount does have a torque setting its on the allen hex side not on the 2 flats for a spanner side . From memory its 15nm but you have to hold the slotted side with a spanner whilst you turn the allen key with your torque wrench . I thought mine was loose till i realised you need a...

Thanks for the info i knew id read about Stans having 2 types . The original Giant sealant looks quite fluid so hopefully syringe should work ok for me . Cheers !

    Tubeless ready E bike optimized

I believe the Giant sealant is actually made by Stans and that Stans have 2 grade’s of sealant one of which is thicker than the other . I guess the thicker it is the more likely to seal any leaks ? Hopefully the syringe will work ok with the giant sealant . I bet it takes me longer than 10 mins...

Seems odd that something as critical as motor mounts doesn’t have suggested torque settings on ? Nice bike is it a 2022 model I have the 2021 version and thought EX2 were all blue & black ? There’s a good chance the the motor mounts are torqued and loctited up on assembly to stop them working...

Lets see your Giant ebike pics..

Picked this up recently 2021 Trance EX2 pro . Nice piece of kit love the paintwork and finish on it . Graphics are very subtle on it compared to my last ride ( cube reaction )

    Tubeless ready E bike optimized

Hi very recently bought a 2021 Trance EX 2 pro model . Had a couple of rides out on light trails but thought it might be a good idea to go tubeless whilst everything is still relatively clean . Giant claim the bike is tubeless ready , indeed both the rims and the sidewall of the tyre state that...

First time out on full suspension ebike

Hi thanks for the reply and advice . I have theGiant recommended sealant , just need the valves and rim tape I think . I have seen the muc off kit ,was slightly put off as Giant only recommend their own sealant or Stans . Some of the stans stuff seems prone to drying out and clogging valves up (...

First time out on full suspension ebike

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post the giant will connect to my phone no problem I’m just not happy having my phone exposed to the elements and potential damage whilst in use . Undecided over going tubeless I don’t change tyres at all however dropping pressures would probably ease my...

First time out on full suspension ebike

Hi thought I’d introduce myself . I’m not new to ebikes but am new to full suspension set ups . I’m knocking on a bit 53 years old recovering slowly from a herniated disk issue complicated by degenerative spinal changes . Previously owned a cube reaction pro hardtail EMTB loved it managed 3500km...
