I was at my LBS when they called Giant tech support about this. Giant acted like this was a new problem. They will investigate it and new firmware would somehow fix it. Funny to see the LBS hopeful after that phone call, but we know they fix nothing for this matter.

I got the Fathom E+2 non pro version. Also chipped. I got a range of 4500km and at this moment the bike is at the LBS for a drivetrain change. I am also interested in a slightly bigger chainring on the front but we can't find anything fitting the Fathom.

They do make E-MTB tuned rear shocks. On my Giant Trance E.

Best workaround I found was selling the Wahoo and buying a Garmin. At first I hated the Garmin because the Wahoo is much more user friendly, but now I am used to the Garmin and happy I made that choice. Sad to see Wahoo is still having trouble to get good data out of the Giant.

My same Garmin connected to a chipped 2021 Fathom E+ 2 with midway 2021 firmware gets believable powermeter data. The same Garmin 530 on my new Trance X E+1 is crazy with an average around 5W

Just don't try to connect it to a Wahoo device... The ODO meter will be all over the place. Garmin Edge 530 works fantastic. Giving you % battery, estimated km left in the battery, Assist mode, total distance driven, LEV speed, real speed, Cadence, power.

I was wondering what apps everyone uses on their Garmin Edge. I use the E-bike Edge multifield. Like it a bit more then the Ebike Field app. And I am using the trailforks and Komoot app.
