During a ride yesterday, suddenly my derailleur starting making some ghost shifts and generally playing up. I got off and noticed despite my rear quick release being closed, I could spin it round. Took the bike home and noticed that the insert in the frame to which the rear axle tightens...
Having a bit if a mare trying to swap my rear brakes from SRAM to Shimano on my Whyte E180. The rear hose is route through the motor housing and it looks like I'll have to drop the motor out to fit it.
Firstly, has anyone done this before, secondly what's all this about the mounting screws for...
My SRAM codes are on their way out the door and in with a pair of Shimano Saints.
Question is, how hard will they be to fit myself? I've installed Shimano brakes on my hardtail, but it wasn't internally routed and there's now motor.
Any tips/advice or shall I suck up the £100 I was quoted to...
Im Interested to know what peoples approximate wear rates are for consumable parts on ebikes.
Specifically chains and brake pads I guess.
I'm asking this because I seem to be fling through brake pads at quite a fast rate and I'm not sure if it's cheap pads or maybe I drag my brakes too much...

I've tended to go uber brake pads and usually Kevlar but I tried an eBay one, N&T in sintered. To be honest, the jury is out on these as I'm two rides in and they have worn very quickly.

Just taken deliver of a Whyte E180s in medium.
First impressions after installing pedals and setting up suspension, checking torque on bolts etc are that the size is fine. I probably could have gone for a large but the medium feels very similar to my canyon spectral so should be easy to switch...

I'm very tempted by the E-180. I currently ride a size medium canyon spectral and being 5'10" with 30" inside leg the standover is fine but it is a bit short in reach. It's great as a trail bike though and very nimble. I'm leaning towards the E-180 as I ride a lot...
