Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

I put a 170mm air spring in mine with the stock air shock, then later went to a Jade X coil at 57.5. Since then I changed the collar to allow for 60mm stroke. This was with the mono link in the low position. Earlier this summer I swapped the 29" rear wheel for a 27.5" and set the mono link in...

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

Happy Jade X owner here. Over stroked it to 60mm. Played with a few different springs, settled on 425-500 progressive and has a shop tweak the compression. Traction is insane, it feels very planted and superb small bump sensitivity. With rebound max’d out the bike has plenty of pop still. I’ve...

    Rail (625Wh) Broken E-component on Gen 2 Rail 9.7

I broke mine on my first ride (took it straight from the shop with 40psi in my tires and the controller literally rolled around so far that it would never survive even the smallest crash). I kept it glued together for many rides before biting the bullet and buying a new one. As above, it...

    Long Travel Slack emtb's

I have a Trek Rail. Went to 180mm on the fork plus over stroked it with a coil. Chip in high. Rides like a dream.

Hope tech levers on Shimano calipers

Short answer is no. You can’t mix 5.1 & mineral oils without replacing all the seals.

    Help me color coordinate!

Stealth all the way. Unless you stick a coil shock on it and then bling the coil. I vote hot pink.

A Crazy Situation (In Need of Advice)

I’m in North Vancouver and live at the bottom of a mountain. My stats are very different to most users.

A Crazy Situation (In Need of Advice)

I do something similar. Most of my rides only use around 40-50% so I store it like that and then top off before I ride.

A Crazy Situation (In Need of Advice)

Jeez. You don’t have much luck do you? LOL. I’m really pleased this battery worked out for you, apart from the added the stress you have ended up with a sick bike an an awesome price.

A Crazy Situation (In Need of Advice)

UPS are (partly) lying. You can claim the duties back, that’s pretty easy and common. Any fee for delivery and handling will have to be eaten - I believe by Canyon but good luck with that. If you can find a shipping company that will handle the battery get one. It might need to be handled by a...

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

I think I read some posts on here about over stroking the Rail. I have a 2021 Large with a Jade X, thinking of going from 57.5mm to 60mm. It looks like I clear the frame but hard to be certain. Anyone done this?

anyone gone back to a normal bike?

2/3rd of my total KMs this year on an amish bike (to be fair, 10 days of Whistler bike park does add up the KMs LOL). My Trek Rail is a DH shuttle sled. Most of my fiends don't own emtbs yet so I generally ride that solo and pedal with my pals.

Advice for new e-bike rider 11 years old?

I’m not sure you should over think the weight of the bike. I used to ride some pretty heavy Motos when I was her age / size. Good for you for trying to find a solution and good luck with it.

    Rail 9.7 shutting off...finally fixed??

I’ve had zero cutoff issues since Bosch replaced the wiring harness on mine. Due to the time of the year, I have not removed my battery either so I feel like it wasn’t a completely controlled test. Hoping mine was the wiring harness and now it’s all sorted.
