Have no clue what this EP8 rattle is.. over 2000 miles on Canyon Spectral On. Zero rattle. ZERO. Now my Trek Powerfly before with the motor everyone loves, BOSCH rattled.

Wouldn’t taking off the chain and spinning the cranks give you a realistic “feel” for what drag the motor may or may not be giving?

I’m all for this technology.. I do have reservations about using a belt drive on emtb. Small stones can EASILY jam into the cogs on the drivewheels and cause belt wear. On a motorcycle (and I know this certainly not the same) stones caught in the cogs can eat up a kevlar belt in minutes...

No problems with my Canyon Spectral ON and over 1500 miles. Had one small issue at the start with battery pack lock but that was my fault, Canyon didn’t really know what to do (thread on here regarding shimano battery lock breaking). Shimano however sent me free of charge a replacement lock...
