Just as an update for anyone facing a knee replacement, I’m 58 and 2 1/2 years down the line now, and can report that I have no issues at all, peddling the bike no problem whatsoever, riding sports bike no problems, walking I used to struggle round the supermarket now I’m doing 8-12 mile walks...
Hi all, going to replace my tyres soon, just wondering what sealant everyone recommends, I was leaning towards the Peatys, but I’m open to suggestions. Thanks
Unfortunately Steve I’m not going to make it, I have to work tomorrow, I need to get a bathroom ready for the tiler coming on Monday. The joys of being self employed, hope the weather holds out for you all.
On my 21 model the two bolts are at the bottom near the motor, one bolt holds the battery, the other the connector block, if yours is the newer model it may be the same in reverse, as the connector is at the top.
I also bought the Vtoman after seeing tubbys first post when he got one, and I can confirm that it also works the same, without any delay on switching over. You can’t go wrong for the price, charges up from flat in an hour and then charges two 625 batteries from one bar on the display upto five...
So to those that have fitted a speedbox or volspeed to their gen 4 Bosch with 625 battery, how has it affected the battery range? Does the extra power reduce range by a large amount?
First job is to disable the speaker in the airtag, very easy to do, shows you on YouTube, pretty pointless if it starts beeping and lets the scum know where it is on your bike.
With the amount of reported failures, I can’t understand why anyone other than a whippet like xc racer or a sponsored rider who’s not bothered about damage, would want a carbon frame, especially someone north of 14st (of which I am 🫣) I’ll stick with my alloy Whyte thanks.
While we’re on about sealants, is anyone using the new Peaty’s Holeshot stuff with bits in that’s supposed to seal bigger holes, if anyone is, how do you rate it?
