There has to be something behind this if this is what they are doing. There must be some wind of regulation changes in some markets and they are getting ahead of it. I also wonder if this is why so many brands rushed to release bikes in April so they could make hay while the sun was shining.

The bikes are live on the Marin site btw. Shame about the colours, if a lot of potential customers are gonna be put off by the thick downtube then at least give yourself a chance by offering it in neutral easy to digest colours. Plain black or a raw alloy finish would be perfect.

The market for emtb racing bikes is nowhere near big enough to spec a 750w capped motor on all builds. If racers want the bike then it should be an option NOT the default.

Not sure how you can determine that from that pic. Most manufactures have moved away from the the 68mm crowns in the last couple of years. I don't think Orbea ever used them so not sure why they would start now.

That looks like a new mechanical XT derailleur. Does not look like the DI2 one to my eye. Shifter on the handle bar looks mechanical also.

What? There's actually a bunch of very reasonably priced (€4,500-€7,500 RRP) bikes with the Avinox. If anything it's brought prices down. I'm not an Avinox cheerleader by any means but this will definitely benefit the consumer if it forces other brands to match or do better on prices.

Levo X is being mentioned. Mullet with 150mm travel. My guess is either a new SL platform or else a fixed battery slim version of the Levo 4.

Commenter over on Vital suggests there's a Specialized emtb dropping today? Tuesday is Specialized's usual day for announcing things so maybe. Maybe 2027 Levo 4 builds? Or something else? SL3?
