Bosch eMTB 150-160mm rear travel under £6000 Lake District

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I'm not an aggressive rider or a speed freak. I currently ride a Whyte E160S in XL but find it to large... But a large is too small.

Bosch eMTB 150-160mm rear travel under £6000 Lake District

Looking for a Bosch powered 150 or 160mm rear travel, for riding in the Lake District. Prefer aluminium frame but would consider carbon. Prefer 29er, but would consider mullet. No more than £6000

Vala AL owners..... Have you run the bike with the powermore? Does it affect the handling? Any other issues? Thanks

    Whyte Karve Evo

The 160mm looks an interesting option. I'm 6'1 and currently on an E160 XL.....it feels a little big, but the L is too small.....even the Kado size L is too small. Looking at the geo of these, the Karve is quite a bit longer than the E160 and could be a decent option..... @Rob Rides EMTB any...

    Carbon or Alloy (another one!)

Hey guys I'm in the market for a new eeb and wondering whether to go carbon or alu!? I ride mainly in the Lake District and a lot of the trails are loose and rocky. My e160 has a nice chip on the seat stay from my last ride.... Which makes me a little nervous about going carbon..... Thoughts...

    Whyte Kado Geometry

Reigniting this with a fresh question: I have an E160S in XL but I've shrunk (getting old 🫪) and down to under 6'1" (184cm)...... Anyone at a similar height got a Kado in L? How does it feel? Cheers

Fox 38 170mm or upgrade Zeb?

@Mr President I went and got the 170mm Fox 38 PE. I am still figuring the right settings for me......but not getting out at the mo as I am away in a couple of weeks. I spent time wondering if it was the right call, especially when the 38's arrived with the 58mm CSU and not the 68mm (only...

Does the bosch motor require a service to keep warranty

My lbs won't touch it until after the warranty period is up as I assume any opening of the motor invalidates the warranty with Bosch....

Got a Question: Why did you buy the Specific bike you bought?

Another ride who wanted to use their LBS here.... As I've used them for all my previous bikes are they are excellent. That gave me options for Whyte, Giant and Merida. My previous 2 bikes were Whyte (901 and S150), and I love riding then, so it was a no brainer for me really.... And they got...

Glad you enjoyed it. The North Face is a bit meh, but the forest and surrounding areas have some good stuff and make for great rides out 😁
