Does anyone have experience of derestricting an M2S using a rear wheel speed sensor?

Hi, There are already many people asking about restricting with the VPN. Assuming this fails, is there any real world experience of doing to via a speed sensor? I know it may void warranty etc, but will the motor know / fault? Thanks for any input!
