Geometry question, how will 180mm forks affect the geometry on the new Orbea Wild LT in a size small?

Hi, wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how putting 180mm forks on the new Orbea Wild LT would affect it? I will be on a small bike, and like a high front end,

My current bike has Fox 40’s and very long chain stays 465mm so I know about long and slack (I think) It doesn’t pick up the front wheel when climbing and feels very direct both things I love.

But I’d love to try single crown forks again to see if it is less to wrestle about, I’m a woman so not as strong as a man.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Hi, what frame size are you interested in?

It matters not too much.

I am interested in how it may affect the handling on the Wild?
All right, I’ve calculated your exact frame size in the image above. That means the reach will be only about 4.5 mm shorter, and the stack will be about 3 mm higher. I don’t think this will have any significant effect on the bike’s handling. After all, the Wild is also approved for the 180 fork. Since the bike is still so new, it won’t be easy to find a thorough review just yet. If there’s a dealer near you, try taking it for a test ride. If you feel comfortable on the bike with the 170, the 180 will definitely work for you too. Otherwise, I hope someone who’s had this experience or done this conversion can provide some good advice here.

Don't they also have headset cups that re-adjust the fork angle so the slackness of the fork stays the same as 170?

I would give it run. If you don't like it just shorten it. There are so many variables involved to tell you in a post if you would love it- But I can tell you it will not be terrible and if it is -the fix is just setup away. Go for it!
