    Charging hub

Has anyone seen anything on the charging hub ? Think you can connect 4 batteries (maybe bikes) at a time, so if you and a mate were on TL's with range extenders you could stick all 4 on charge overnight from one charger (less crap to carry and no need to keep swapping chargers over).

Scrap made into e-Bike with vintage spare parts - base giant bolder 1999

I think the wheels are nylon/thermoplastic : looks like these but can't find any more info : The rings seem to be directly mounted to the motor, which presumably squeezes through the BB for mounting, but sits externally parallel to the chainring. I think there's a motor blob hanging out the...

Scrap made into e-Bike with vintage spare parts - base giant bolder 1999

Biopace chainring was one of the early ovoid attempts in 1983 (for anyone else reading) : Like you say, not sure how well that will work with a motor system with cranks in varying positions as the leverage will be constantly and randomly changing . Can't work out what the motor is. Is...

Don't forget that the existing motors already have numerous internal gears, will the Ecvt's have many more ?

    Pic of the Day

Very boring. Finally got home. Stopped at a bar which was very pleasant.. then at some friends, some beer might have been involved .. so about another 80km later, finally home. For anyone interested - the bafang system is sh1te for assistance at low battery levels - but at the same time , it...

Entirely your fault . After three Guinness special exports... My pee stop. Being very sensible and taking the tow path home rather than falling off and looking like a tw4t. If anyone is interested, the Zeb ultimate is unphased by towpaths.

    Thierry Henry

You don't think you're over thinking this ??? A few years ago Shimano was our goto, unless you were a dentist then you bought a Spesh. Ok, you knew it would only last 10 minutes between belt failures if you liked to pedal strike or even mentioned the word "moist" next to it. But he'll, it...

    GOBAO ECVT EMTB Mid-Drive Motor

Maybe, but we've all got used to voltage compensation for continued support as the battery flattens, so 10% is just a made up calculation anyway. On a bike with no voltage compensation 10% is already asking the really lazy electron pixes to actually come out and help a bit and on the whole...

    Pic of the Day

Continuing my theme of really boring pictures. Just detoured on the way home to the climbing centre, because they sell Guinness. Had to improvise a beer parasol. As for brollys .. How come In France a parasol is a parasol. In England it's a parasol. A parachute is a parachute. Add in...

What about the Amflow TL Carbon 800 (+ 480) Wh??

Totally, Canal towpaths is pretty much 25kph max to be sensible with other users. Road sections is a different story, though gearing will limit you to realistic 50kph max for short spurts unless you can find some nice downhills. The frame doesn't look like you could run more than a 38t front...

    The £4000 Amflow competitors?

Use the bike finder option from the menu bar. I get a 135 hits. Depends what you're looking for I guess

What about the Amflow TL Carbon 800 (+ 480) Wh??

Good question. Different bike gives you different options. With lower rolling resistance you could add a good chunk of flatish in the middle of a ride (canal tow paths for instance). I think the most I've done unassisted on a Bosch bike is about 80km - but that wasn't particularly nice, where...

What about the Amflow TL Carbon 800 (+ 480) Wh??

Yup, I've considered one of these as a Gravel bike alternative -already has a dropper and suspension - so like a high end gravel bike for less than gravel prices. The S/M model comes as standard with a 150mm dropper and the L/XL comes with a 170mm. Don't seem to be actually available in...

Can We Please Stop Attacking Each Other & Being So Defensive Because We Have Different Opinions!

That's probably just a typo, but should be "Don't feed the Troll". "feeling" the troll might have a more sexual connotation. Maybe on EST Forums (Electric Sex Toys), if there is such a thing, I guess they might play with the words and say "Don't feel the troll" ?? 🐑🥒 ....... Do we...

Microshift Advent MX- pro 10 or 11 speed - any feedback

Had the advent x on the e-mythique. Sadly had issues with ghost shifting in the 11t Microshift were great and even sent a new mech to try, but unfortunately it didn't fix it. Eventually swapped to linkglide. The quality of everything was nice, the shifter felt nice.

Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

With the linkage removed there appears to be more than just the crack. It almost looks like the linkage came back and crushed the frame, causing the crack ?? None standard shock ? Some other tweak ??
