Headsets. Every ebike I've owned & most of my friends bikes have had creaking headsets in less than a year, sometimes within a couple of months/<100 miles. I guess it's because manufacturers fit the cheapest they can get away with because nobody chooses a bike based on what headset it has...

Noted & for my emtb I do only fit more reputable chains. These are going on non-ebikes so I'll see how they do in that application. I (hope!) it'll be a while before I can comment on their longevity but I'll at least report how well they shift, asap.

Replace the whole headset, it's awful with steel cups and a (usually) undersized taper lock which is made from plastic meaning you'll never stop the creaking. You need a ZS66/40 lower & a ZS44 upper. Superstar Components do a dedicated ZS66/40 lower. Hope make a ZS66/48 and a crown race...
