    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

The local Orbea shop near me is a fairly big outdoor shop, they currently have a few Bosch wilds at -30% and Rises down 40%... So it's hard to think the Avinox wild will stay at MSRP, also feels a bit dumb putting down full price now when the bikes will probably be delivered after the summer...

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

Damn that is a good looking frame. Hate that the m20 is mixing a fox shock with a Zeb... Does anyone know if it's possible to get a small discount on new avinox powered bikes? Hard to tell what the market is like considering most shops are probably still overstocked with Bosch bikes.

    Stone the heretic. Unpopular opinions

Just to further smear my username: Virtually every rider would have a better experience from owning the 4.5k amflow and the new 4.5k YT, rather than one 9k Specialized or Santa Cruz.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

The internal or the external ones? I'd be pretty tempted by an amflow PR if I knew I could upgrade the battery to 900wh, and I'd be pretty bummed if I spent thousands on the internal only system bikes and those couldn't be upgraded.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

I think they just wanted to have the selling power of the 700 battery exclusive to their Amflow bike, and decided Atherton were prestigious enough and low volume enough to also get one to accommodate their unique design. Seems unlikely to me that bigger batteries will come out this year as they...

New YT Decoy X Avinox Lanched

That's what we expected this generation of avinox bikes to hit, but they pretty much all got heavier, e.g. full carbon mondraker isn't getting below 23kg. Orbea could realistically get close based on their Bosch equivalents.

New YT Decoy X Avinox Lanched

Commencals official weights are for a size S which has the 600wh battery, so they are definitely gaming the spec sheet. In the commencal thread people were getting ~25kg builds, so more or less the same weight for YT and commencal. And also for my 2022 giant reign which had almost a kilo more of...

New YT Decoy X Avinox Lanched

Well, it's not exactly the bike for me, but I have to admit a lot of people could be having a lot of fun for €4500 https://www.pinkbike.com/news/yt-launches-avinox-m2s-powered-decoy-x-core-range.html

Ok ok, phase 2 of the plan, get SRAM or Shimano to start making car brakes?

    Stone the heretic. Unpopular opinions

Here is another good opinion for this forum... Due to population aging, inverted pyramid demographics and virtually all countries having retirement fund crises... It is an ethical and responsible action for all retired men to buy outrageously fast sports cars, ideally with no traction control.

DJI/Avinox in talks to buy Mondraker

Heading over to linkedin to make my post about how notaninfluencer is actually just an influencer

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

So without breaking any embargoes, is there any new tech beyond the known avinox stuff that made Orbea wait 2 months to announce their bikes after the M2S embargo? We were hoping it was battery tech, but that seems very unlikely now.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

Effectively Pro racers can get the race (de)tuned motor, but I expect the average amateur race to have plenty of 1500W, speed limiter removed geniuses participating

    Stone the heretic. Unpopular opinions

Unpopular opinion #1: (maybe no one agrees, total addressable market: like 5 people) They should make dirt jumpers with 50Nm motors and 200Wh batteries. Just to help get to the pumptracks/jumps and make them more usable in general. Unpopular opinion #2: (Less pushback as time goes on, total...

What second bike would you buy for fitness? (gravel vs hardtail)

Just to add an out of the box suggestion: If there are any pumptracks near you, consider a cheap DJ bike. I guess a short hardtail with slick tyres could work also. If you have never tried a modern pumptrack (velosolution and the competitors), they are an unbelievable workout, litteraly doing...

How much does sustainability drive your e-bike use?

Wow, quite surprised by these comments and the poll results... I used to commute 4 days a week on my old ebike before kids, it was a major part of getting one. My wife got an ebike hardtail and we went up to work together most mornings. It also allowed us to make do with a single car between...

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

I wouldn't say I feel much of a difference, but I did notice that on very steep fireroads I seem to be climbing at 15kph. So while you don't necessarily feel this huge boost off the line, your legs will naturally give enough power to get to 15kph, with relatively low effort, but you would need...

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

I would definitely temper my expectations for Monday's announcement. The language in the teaser makes me think they are revamping their website, with possibly a chatbot or some augmented reality app...

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

It's worrying how bad Bosch are at doing these updates though, doesn't inspire confidence... That said, I did a quick loop today in turbo 120Nm +2 +2, does feel like a nice little boost. I have been riding almost exclusively in emtb+ 100nm 750w since the last update. Previously, turbo was only...

    A lot more advertising?

For the past few weeks, I have been getting borderline disgusting ads for athlete's foot medicine with revolting looking drawings of nails. I also get something that looks like alternative medicine but didn't really look into it... Today I'm getting massive popups that had me wondering if my...
