Guided ride - Sherwood Pines, NCB area, & Vicar Water. Sun 28th Jun'26

Sounds good and thanks for organising, but just too far to travel. Car park charges can be a bit Marmite (especially in the Lakes). I'm quite happy paying for my days parking as I know that the funds go into maintaining trails, footpaths, etc. One of my biggest annoyances is going to Whinlatter...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Just bought myself an Ergon SM E-Mountain Pro Saddle as finding the factory Egron Pro not as comfy as I'd like. Oh, and 'invested' in some proper Peatys cleaning brushes / products when I saw the state of my jockey wheels after last weeks ride !

Help with bike frame sizing please.

As already said, get to a LBS to try a few as no two manufacturers 'mediums' are the same. If you're not able to, I would suggest medium (I'm 176cm, 90kg and on the cusp of M/L) as you can size up (saddle position, longer stem, etc) but can't easily size down.

Bosch gen 5 charger socket cover.

Whilst I don't have an issue with the charger cap, I do have a solution even though it's not needed ! I carry a small toolkit in a Race Face Tool Stash which attaches to the lower part of the seat tube. It naturally covers the charger cap and can be slid up enough (without removing) to charge...

An Avinox thread rather than Amflow - why Auto is good

I'm slowly getting out of the Bosch mindset where I would use different modes at different times. Initially, I setup my Amflow with the same approach with Auto 75nm/600W and Trail 85nm/750W. I would switch to Trail mode when I needed some more oompf for climbing / other. And don't get me wrong...

    Pic of the Day

Out in the Lakes today (unsuccessfully) trying to avoid the hordes of tourists. Gentle ride from Hardknott through Eskdale and then not so gentle through Miterdale forest to Tongue Moor then around Burnmoor Tarn. On my own so cautious on the descents.

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

I work from home unless I need to travel to office / client site but I have to be assigned a base location (silly HR rules).

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

Err...my office is 120 miles away and I don't think they'll pay me a day's travel each way :p Still got my eMTB on the Cycle to Work scheme though.

    Strava/Avinox double entry issue

I looked at GOTOES but you need to be a subscriber to export as FIT after combining but as I use Garmin Connect (not Strava) don't want to take the risk of it not working as expected. A 'challenge' with GOTOES is that you have to start Garmin/Apple & Bike at exactly the same time to get things...

    Tubeless on default rims

The PL Pro came tubeless ready which saved a few ££ and a lot of hassle !

    Strava/Avinox double entry issue

I looked to do the same albeit Garmin / Avinox rather than Apple and the simple answer is it can't be done automatically. For Garmin, the 'answer' is to export GPX from the watch & FIT from the bike and combine using an external / 3rd party app. Then upload the combined file to Strava or Garmin...

M1 PL Carbon still worth it?

Simple answer is yes. I bought my PL Pro in January knowing that the new frames & motors were coming out and don't regret it for a second. There are lots of haters about the PL geometry and to an 'expert', some of the comments may be correct - as an amateur with mid skills and mid fitness, I...

Best way to log the mileage and Navigation

As well as recording on the bike, I use a Garmin watch and associate my bike with the eMTB mode - this then displays 'correct' mileage in Garmin Connect. Of course, you need a Garmin (or similar) for this to work.

    Pic of the Day

Quick ride this morning around / over my local fell. Some road (getting there / back) but mainly either fell paths or forest track. Nice little loop with some techie stuff coming down Bummers (no sniggering at the back). 25km with 688m of ascent. Looking Eastwards towards Herdus.

Dialing in suspension with Chat GPT.

Yip for both suspension and motor settings as I couldn't find anyone 'decent' near to me to set the bike up. Suspension was excellent and I have only made very minor adjustments to what was suggested (Fox 36 and changed low speed compression from suggested 4 to 6). Similar on motor to maximise...

    Avinox Navigation on Display released

And weirdly, my ride has appeared in the Avinox Ride app and I can sync - no idea why other than (probable) user error.

    Avinox Navigation on Display released

Assuming you mean setting a different location to bypass the speed assistance. No idea - I'm in the UK and that's my region/country.

    Sim card

In the UK, RWGMobile is £4.99 per year with 100Mb / month (enough for sync & location) on EE Network. Value :)

Amflow Customer Support team is here!Amflow Support questions only please

@Amflow_Support Please can you advise on this - if I use the navigation option (made available in recent update), does that mean that the bike telematics are not recorded during a ride. If so, is this due to contention of the GPS module (i.e. unable to navigate & record ride at the same time)...
