Completely normal, @INVISIBLE - you've just got your multimeter leads the wrong way round relative to the battery's polarity.

The battery's positive terminal is wired to suit the bike's connector, not the colour convention on your meter leads. When you get a negative reading, it means the battery's positive is actually connected to your black probe. Flip the probes and you get the true reading: +36V (or thereabouts - a fully charged 36V pack typically sits around 41 - 42V).

The +36V reading is the correct one. That's your pack in good health. Quick rule of thumb: on a multimeter, whichever probe gives you the positive reading is touching the positive terminal, regardless of what colour it is. Some battery connectors and aftermarket leads don't follow red=positive - it catches people out regularly.

Nothing to worry about - battery's fine.
