TQ 60 struggles to keep up to a full power, even with a light rider.
And the kenevo sl is even lower powered, with garbage seat post insertion.
Same for the levo sl.

I just built up a m560 bike for my 5'3" wife using the cef69 in size small with full 27.5, the 835WH battery and aluminum wheels.

Fox 36 perf, and a 205x50mm shock to prevent bottoming out.
Came out to 20.9kg. If you got a smaller battery or added carbon bars and wheels, you should be able to do the same build in under 20kg. (Image doesnt have front brake on for silly reasons, its there now).

Seeing as her correct dropper post length was still much above full insertion with a 150, you could probably run a 180 if your wife is similarly legged as mine, or a 150 closer to slammed if she isnt.

Personally I think that's a silly reason to get a FF.
If her friends aren't interested in keeping the group together, they're not really friends.
The Rocky mountain SL bike is really powerful and comes in 27.5 as well in the smallest sizes.

Look I gotta be honest, it isn't even worth talking out of that. Mine doesn't want anything without a throttle, even though she loved riding my M1 powered bike. Gotta pick your battles and honestly wanting a nice ebike is good enough for me.

Instinct Sl would make the grade by rocky is all but dead in NZ. I can only find old stock and back up support will be terrible. As much as i love rocky.... its out.

Re the power. I want her to have full power also. I ride literally as slow as i humanly possibly can and still have to wait and wait and wait..... Part of the point of the E's is to bridge the gap between speeds. If the bike doesn't do that, then what's the point of buying it.

The mid powers are all but dead aswell. So im less keen on buying something that will be next to impossible to sell as well.
The other side of the argument to full v mid for group riding is the group has to go the speed of the slowest person. If everyone else has full powers, unless you are fit af, then its pretty selfish to turn up on a mid power and expect everyone to go at your speed. Or you just end up being in the hurt locker the whole ride trying to keep up. Or you end up not being invited on the rides that are intended to be faster rides. Id much prefer her to have the power and use it occassionally than not have it and need it.

I did just go through this though.

Ended up buying and building up SZZSBIKE CEF69 29/27.5ER Carbon Ebike Mtb Frame 48V 835wh Bafang M560/M510 Motor Full Suspension Disc Brake Light Weight Ma | ZSZT

In size small. Picture above. 20.9kg with basic heavy wheels and fox 36 parts.

The teewing force XT is also now supposedly available in a size small for an avinox powered bike. I know what it says 430 reach, but with a long stem and a jones bar my wife was totally fine riding my Medium slammed down, so I'd expect a size small with a short stem to be totally acceptable. My medium with a fox 34, 800wh battery aluminum wheels, xt groupset and a jones bar came in at 20kg almost exact. It's also full 29er so you would be lighter and lower with a mullet or full 27.5. You can always short stroke the shock (as I did on both of these bikes) to prevent bottoming out with the smaller rear wheel. I would expect the small to come in well under 20kg with minor adjustments

Teewing Turbo Force XT – Trail eMTB, 150mm Travel, Avinox M2S System

Either of those two options with a finishing kit that fits her will be totally fine. I prefer the avinox myself as it's more refined, but for effortless group riding, hard to beat a bike with a throttle (m560).
 
I just bought a used Levo SL for my gf & daughter to share. I didn't exactly steal it like I was hoping I would as I bought it from a dealer. But it only has 22 original miles and was about 45% off of new and included one year warranty on the whole bike including the motor and battery.
I think it was basically outdated when it was built. But in a size small it has a nice short chain stay even in a lower-end build, it's only 41 lb, it's mullet, and for the flatter trails they ride and their weight it's plenty of power and battery juice.
I'll probably try to weight weenie it using Alibaba parts.
