My moto dealer has a couple of these bikes in stock. I can get one out the door for $6k. Been seriously considering it. But I know little about the brand. I believe they rebrand Yahama's dirt bikes in Europe with a bit more premium delivery.
One thing that I've been looking for in an eMTB is ease of pedaling without assist. And the Brose motor is claimed to have zero resistance when off. Everything else on the bike seems to be run-of-the-mill entry level stuff.
I have a Motobecane fat hardtail that I've been enjoying. But bumpy downhill trails are too sketchy on it. And I would like to hit some moto single track in my neck of the woods. Pretty long return loops there... Thus eMTB.

What do you, guys, think?

A friend of mine had one of the 160 race Fantics, it was a great bike, really nice to ride and he hardly had any issues with it.
From memory I think the dropper post was a bit flakey due to the cable routing and that was it apart from the usual wear and tear issues.

I can't see much in the spec of that that would put me off. Powerful motor, brakes ok, suspension ok, geo looks a bit upright but that's only going off the images. For the money, it looks good.

IIRC the biggest issue with them is that the seat post insertion is minimal - on a L you get a 125mm seta post, and I dont think that can be full inserted. I think Rob picked up on this in his final review.

Well, I got it. Pretty excited, even with a few issues. The seat post has given up the gas. Dealer will order a replacement. Once I got home, I've discovered the front rotor is bent. Will call about that tomorrow. And there is a small dent in the seat stay. Weighed the bike right away - 58lbs. Porky.

How are you liking it? Where did you find it for that price? I'm in California and hoping to score one for near 5k. Thanks!

Power Motorsports in Sublimity. They're not good with support though. Still haven't got my replacement post and rotor.
