Commuting on my emtb would add 2 (boring) hours to my work day.
It would cause wear and tear to my bike and driving my electric van to and from work costs about 60p a day so why bother.
I ride my bikes purely for fun, riding to and from work in all weathers and temperatures doesn’t sound like...
I’ve got a couple of pairs and wear them a lot.
They’re comfy and easily fit knee pads underneath and they have a pocket big enough for my phone unlike my Troy Lee ones.
We got a Buzz Cargo last month. I love it, I could probably get the bikes in with the front wheels left on but I like the security of bolting the fork to the floor and it takes very little time to get them in and out.
I’d also recommend Hayes Dominion A4. They’re the best brake I’ve ever had, I have Hope V4’s on one of my bikes which look better and probably have the same stopping power but I definitely prefer the feel of the A4’s.
They are pedelecs hence the no insurance needed. The photo does a good job of hiding the pedals and you have to expand the description on the website to find out what it actually is

I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. I knew it would have driven me mad so I just whipped out the cable and bought an AXS post.
I thought that would be kinder to my mental health if not my wallet!
There’s no way that would keep me off the bike (or from using the rear brake).
Pads worn down to the metal yes, but the rotors too thin by a f#%*ys hair wouldn’t keep me in on a nice day.
