Does anyone know by chance which is the best torque sensor for an M510 motor running an FC2.0 controller on a 52V battery? My understanding from the forum is that there are 2 types of torque sensor from Bafang - GR for the FC2.0 controllers and SR for the older FC1.0 controllers. Chili Shen...

Thanks for the reply. I have the rotor mounted speed senor magnet and have checked it's still tightly attached, so can rule that one out. I've ordered a 'spare' torque sensor from Chili Shen just in case it's on the way out.

Hello all. I haven't posted for quite some time - been out enjoying the E10 for a number of years now, without any major issues :) I do now have a niggling issue that I can't find an answer for on the forums. After riding a rough DH trail, my motor often seems to loose power when trying to...

Hi Dado. Could you please measure the 'offset' of the spider please?

Mine came with the motor cover. If you can get just the board then its an easy swap out with your FC1.0 housing (5 screws). The spec. of the controller should be printed on a sticker attached to the large capacitor.

I thought it was my torque sensor, but it wasn't. The change to the FC2.0 controller totally eliminated the power cutoffs. I have never really had the motor over running when I stopped pedalling with either the FC1.0 or FC2.0 controller. You may have a problem with your torque sensor, but I...

So Chili Shen sent a second (brand new this time) FC2.0 controller to replace the original one which I suspected was faulty, due to the fact that I couldn't read the serial number or calibrate the position sensor via BESST . The new replacement controller works as expected with no issues reading...

@Dado Have you tried removing the battery rather than just switching the system off?

https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/besst-tool-pro.31144/post-498879 This is for 48v batteries. Just save the file to .bin 👍 If you're refering to where I purchased the FC2.0 controller then that was from Chili Shen.

I'll give that a go 👍 Thanks for the reply. The BESST software can be very temperamental in my experience...

Thanks for the reply. @Timmy65 also confirmed its ok (y) I must have something wrong with the controller sent to me, as I can't read the serial number via BESST tool and I get an associated error message.

@thaeber Didn't get a chance unfortunately as explained in this thread:- Post in thread 'Bafang m510' Bafang m510 Just refitted my FC1.0 controller as I believe the FC2.0 is not compatible with the FC1.0 torque sensor....

Yeah recalibrated following the fitment but my gut feel is that the FC2.0 controller is not compatible with the FC1.0 torque sensor... Get yourself one of these and have it in your pocket of better still taped to the top tube. When you see around 30% battery on the display you're pretty much...

@raggertje @Dado @temon10 @Timmy65 So I got my FC2.0 controller fitted and finally manged to upload a 48V firmware (MMG522C4814F802010.1). Quick test ride revealed that the power seems to be 'smoother' and no 'on-off' feeling that the FC1.0 controller had 😁 (y) Interestingly the motor is now...
