I bought some BBB core caps as I am sick of presta valves, in particular the cores bending / binding
They simply screw on to the presta valve body and you then use a schrader pump to inflate the tyre
Seem to work well so far.
I run Michelin E-wild front and rear on my Jam2. I will never run Maxxis again after blowing out 3 sidewalls at the bead on 2 separate bikes.
I can't fault the Michelins.
Had this happen on two separate occasions on my Focus Jam2 as well as once on my Commencal Clash. My Vittoria tyre liner allowed me to ride on.
I am now running Michelin E-wild tyres and won't be going back to Maxxis any time soon
I put a coil in my Focus Jam2 - a conversion that Focus said couldn't be done.
It required some modifications to fit, but it's the best thing that I have done and I won't be going back to air shocks.
I am very happy with my E-Wilds (27.5x2.8) after having 2 DHR-II fail at the bead when they got to 2/3 worn, these tyres have been great and perform very well in all conditions
I mostly run with the clutch in the off position and have never had issues with dropping the chain. My cassette and chainring are now 2800 klms old and I replaced the chain at 2500 klm.
