My old faithful Jam2 sits in the workshop and gets all the old parts thrown at it as I upgrade other stuff.

I’m not supposed to ride it much, I’ve got 3 other e-bikes to ride, but quite often I take this one out over all the others.

I’ve put some spare Fox 38s on it, and a fox shock I had on the parts shelf, some ‘Amazon special’ wheels (which have held up really well) and a set of Radial tyres. I’ve just been out for a ride on it and I’m reminded how excellent it is. Makes me wonder why I got any other bikes?!

I should sell it really, I don’t need it, but it isn’t worth much I’m sure!

My first e-bike was an OG Jam2 factory. Was a great bike and first to market with the E8000 IIRC.
Moved onto a Decoy but since bought the misses one when she wanted an e-bike. She rode it in Morzine without issue.

My first e-bike was a Jam2 9.6 NINE. It had the Shimano e8000 motor and the Focus battery with TEC pack. It weighed 20.4kg with pedals but without the 2.2kg TEC pack. Even with the ugly wart of a TEC pack it weighed only 22.6kg and had a 750whr battery.
I absolutely loved that bike, but I sold it with 3600 miles on it during the pandemic simply because I could get a great price for it. In hindsight, it was not only a great purchase but a great sale too!

Yes, I remember your blue Focus, I also remember we got DVO shocks for them around the same time. 👍

I always liked the colour of yours, not that I saw many Jams anyway, but never saw a blue one!

Had a TEC pack too. Could have sold it many times over. Not so much interest in the bike though. Everyone wanted bigger batteries pre pandemic.
