It also depends on the size of tour frame. My Trek is XL sized aluminium (because I am too heavy) and I have new Fox DHX2 with 750lbs coil. Before coil shox I had Fox DPX2. Both of them fits perfectly (230x60).
4A on 36V is not 4A on 48V. The 4A charger for 48V needs more power and can produce more heat with equal effectivity as the 36V charger. But its not mind.

I'm 197cm and have Rail XL size. I had to upgrade stem to longer version, ugrade fork to longer (zeb 170), upgrade longer cranks (170), and lastly upgrade seatpost to 200mm. Now I finally feel good on the bike. But it's subjective.
It is not my experience. I have sag about 25-30% and done setup with fox recomended values for my coil. I also upgraded cranks to 170mm for my long body and it is far better and I dont have problem with hits, thanks proper coil+dhx2 and zeb 170 fork. My style is enduro, but I cant do longer...
