I have a couple Bosch batteries (500Wh and 400Wh) that I would love to also use camping for easy off grid power. Has anyone successfully found a way to rig up an inverter to get 120v power out of them?
I'm considering a pair of a Raceface Aeffect 165 mm cranks or anything along those lines that is decently priced and looks durable for fewer pedal strikes.
Has anyone made the swap without a software update? Good/bad experience?
Bosch has made some mention of a recent software update adjustment for shorter cranks that can be made at a dealer. Does anyone know if that's required when swapping from 170/175 cranks to 165 mm or under? Seems annoying to need a software update just for changing cranks if so...
That definitely makes sense since you're 5'11". Any chance you can test it all the way in just to see if it clears? I am 5'9" so I need to run it lower if not lowest...
thewildblue, thanks for the great info, before I make an order can you confirm the 480mm was fully slammed? (so no extra seat post sticking out the top)
Since the Powerfly uses a curved seat tube, does anyone know the max insertion depth for a ML 18.5 frame size? It came with a 125mm dropper and I'd like to fit a 150mm or 160mm if possible. If someone already knows the max depth it would save a lot of hassle not needing to free up a bunch of...
Definitely good advice to try the new setup before swapping air springs. Trek has been quite flexible in their geometry settings with different setups on this bike, which isn't necessarily a positive. You'll have to dial in what feels best to you.
For example, I believe 2018 was a 150mm travel...
That makes sense then. RockShox must have only started marking the tune numbers starting in 2018 since both the 2018 and 2019 shocks I've checked show the tune (MM430 as an example).
It looks like there are at least 3 rear shock options on the Powerfly.
Powerfly 7 (not LT) with 130mm of travel uses a RockShox RL 205x50 ML430 tune.
Powerfly 7 LT with 150mm of travel uses a RockShox RL 205x57.5 MM430 tune.
Powerfly 9.9 LT with 150mm of travel uses a RockShox RE:aktiv RT3...
