Is this the new motor then?

Doesn't sound brilliant at 4kg in weight....
They’ve had a 120nm motor for a long time. That one is not for the bike market.

On Facebook someone is claiming it’ll be called the HPR120X.

Today I did 23 miles and a bit over 4,000 ft in my 45 Nm de-tuned Sport mode 80% with lowered assist and 20% eMTB stock mode. I had 39% battery remaining. So the range is good. If the new Fuel can basically do that and I think it can, I'd love the 6-7 lb weight loss. The is the only thing I feel especially in slow rocky chunk...the 51-lb weight.

I was in my local trek store yesterday, Didn't notice any significant discounts on the slashes and fuels, they seemed to have good stock as well...

In the US every eMTB that’s available is on sale.

Slash+

Rail+

And the Fuel+ EX9.7 is on sale. All other Fuel+ are not available at the moment.

Anyone else noticed that they lowered the price on the new model Gen 5 Rails to $4999? Not the sale price on last years, but the actual price on this years. That's conveniently the same price Specialized lowered the alloy gen 4 Levo to.

So, what are we expecting exactly? A new TQ but with dramatically more power?

I ordered an EX+ for my gf last week and don't care one bit that they are getting updated as I think it was already an ideal motor system for her needs and the price was very right.

But I love seeing the new stuff!

Had a call on Friday to say an Email Will come through on 26th(AU) about new bikes.
No more information but Are they looking at replacing the Rail+ already?? We've sold Heaps of these and people are still asking for them despite the Avinox being there

Hopefully not DJI as Based on our customers I dont think they are Wanting to send their money to the Chinese and support the power wars.(not my opinion, except im not a fan of power wars either)

I guess they lied.

This is why I bought the slash+ With the tq motor. If I had an avinox bike (or bosch for that matter) I'd need to de tune it down to the same power level as the tq in order to get the range I want, but the bike would still be heavier than one with the tq system.

This, 100%. There is no way around the fact that every MFG's 800wh batteries alone weigh 3.8kg/8.5lbs. Add a motor, remote etc and you're adding 13lbs+ motor/system weight to any bicycle platform. Also need brakes, tires & suspension suitable for that added weight. It's easy to see why full power bikes are stuck at around 23kg/50lbs min.

Unless there's some real quantum leap forward in terms of efficiency, it's hard to see how a more powerful motor won't also require a larger/heavier battery to get acceptable range.

I'd rather see things get lighter & more durable, at 60nm, without compromising range....

Then again, maybe there's some other innovation coming. Like a more durable, user-serviceable motor!

I guess they lied.
Nobody lied, there was a Product line released to Dealers with a brand new bike(well new enough to sort motor and battery/s ;)) that was being targeted at Amflow.
Not yet available to order but soon.

It will be worth it - Same as myself, Im not going to spill anymore details.
however I will leave with this, Target market is Amflow's offering but with option/s of MORE....... for less.

My guess is the 120nm mentioned earlier, and possibly a two battery combo, 600+300 to give you a combination of both or big or small battery depending on what ride you’re going on ….

a two battery combo, 600+300
That would be a nice combo. I think the 580wh is a good size for the current TQ but the 160 extender is kind of small. 600 should suit most daily riding but having the 300 for a total of 900 on those big epic days would be honey. Still I would like to see the last 10% of the battery being more usable though and not wattage restricted.

I'll be interesting to see what happens.
