2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

This seems a bit different.. The geo hack was for restricting class 3 mode/top speeds based on your region to comply with regional e-bike laws. You would VPN to somewhere like New Zealand where class 3 is allowed, and then enable it. But if this bike is restricted everywhere, what does VPN'ing accomplish? Nothing, right?

New Bike Day 🤗

Wild LT M20 Magic Gold Carbon View 😎

It’s still at the dealer right now and will be getting various upgrades next week (Oquo Team Power wheelset, Vivid Ultimate shock, Zeb Ultimate fork).

I also ordered XT brake levers and Galfer Shark rotors as a quick brake upgrade for better performance😉—I’m not sure yet if I want to stick with Shimano overall or switch to SRAM later (Maven brakes / XO or S90 mechanical shifting).

For now, I’m just going to ride and enjoy it—I’m really looking forward to it 🤗

Apparently, according to the Orbea rep, it should still be possible to alter the Geo location by VPN and thereby also change the speed at which the motor provides assistance. Let’s hope to have confirmation from users in the field.🙏

It gives me 'Unno Mith' vibes but with better dropper insertion and suspension design. Love it.

This will only work for users looking to disregard the 15.5 mph EU speed limit and gaining 20 mph Class 1 speed. Orbea's doesn't want their Avinoxs to exceed 20 mph anywhere, so there's no vpn trick to gain Class 3 capability.

The Rep's comment touches on what I'm thinking is the most interesting aspect of this decision now... Awareness. Orbea, bike shops, and even members of the press; should be bringing clarity and awareness that Orbea's RS (Restricted Speed) Avinox has a lower speed potential than all the other Avinox motors. I think it's outright negligent to pontificate about the secret RS sauce without mentioning it uniquely limits the motor to 20 mph worldwide. It's only going to cause problems for Orbea, their dealers, and customers if this isn't communicated clearly.

For what it’s worth, I think it is actually a good thing that they limit it. E-MTBers already have a bad rep in the community — people question whether someone is running an illegal setup on a trail.

Yep. This is me, I saw Avinox and assumed, sweet I can class 3 when off trail. That's basically all I wanted, the RS stuff sounds great and I want that when I'm on the trail. Been waiting for amflow's to come back in stock then the Wild LT dropped, which seemed perfect and pulled the trigger immediately. Now I feel blindsided.

For those who bought it in-store, did you manage to negotiate the price a bit?
Of course, you always have to fight to get a good discount. I'm going to pay a little over €8,000 for an M-Team with some upgrades.

Just be ready to provide a reason "why" the bike shop should extend a discount. You'll win a lower price if you have a good reason why they should. Doesn't hurt to ask; simply helping you prepare. Good luck.

This is good advice because I cannot imagine why a shop would extend a discount on a newly released bike...given the lack of supply, these bikes will sell and should sell at full MSRP.

Yes, that’s exactly why I’m asking. Even with the Zendit, I didn’t have to ask for much to get a 10–12% discount when it launched.

Headset cable routing, not available in -5 reach adjust and no fast charge facility is a deal breaker.

I need that -5 to get the reach down to 430. 435 is too long, hell 430 is on the long side.

Also now the E-cvt's look close to dropping i might just hurry up and wait for a while
Currently she uses my daughters Orbea Rise. I'm probably going to fruit that up with better shocks ect and hold out to see what happens in the next 6 months or so.

There's probably be a few Ecvt's released and more fire sales of existing bikes than now aren't selling.
Man there must be some hurting companies out there with stock that is only a few months old that is now redundant.
Seems like there is a lot of riding that can be done in the two years before ecvt is widely available. If I was thinking about getting a new bike I would maybe get a good value leftover to have something good to ride while waiting.

That conversation was about getting an E for the missis. We do have a e-bike she can ride. My daughters Rise. My daughter hardly rides in anyway. I'm pretty much going to fruit up the rise with better gear and she can ride that until a uber deal drops. PS she also has an mtb which she rides more than the E. So we arent without bikes for her.

But i will be doing exactly that, looking for deals and fire sales. But its a challenge when she is so small. Only a few bikes meet the size requirements.
