Been away for a few days. Just home and still have 5 in the mix. Looking forward to some finals action tonight. Looks like the men kick it off around 8pm Aussie time (2.5 hrs from now)

I went about as main line as the budget allowed. We'll see how it goes but JG seems off the pace right now & Gracey came through Q2 & expressed a lack of confidence to Wyn tv. Ethan son, don't let me down now. The cynic in me said Luca is probably a flash in the pan & I probably should have thought more about Andi Kolb.

I changed my team about 4 times in the run up, Mr Kolb was in there where Amaury is now at one stage but I went with him as he can pull of some magic in the wet. JG got added instead of Asa as he has to come good at some stage. We'll see very soon 😍

BTW Warner is livestreaming a commentary on Youtube during the races. Just like the old days. And by old days I mean Freecaster, since there's no bosses to tell him to wind his neck in.
Starts in 15 mins :
I loved the days of Freecaster : 2008 World Champs at Val di Sole with Hills unreal run until he washed out on the final turn, 11+ secs up 😬

No one up since Fin on a drying track. Can only think the woods must be like treacle.

Reading the race analysis on PB, I'm very struck by this on Troy Brosnan:

'Looking back at his last 30 World Cup finishes, he has been inside the top 10 16 times, with eight top-five results and inside the top three four times. Incredibly, only one of the last 30 World Cup results has been outside the top 20.'

I've said a couple of times he's Mr. consistent but figures sure beat vibes.

So pleased for Finn, he's had a tough time over the last few years and fair play to Specialized sticking with him.

So close for Ethan, hopefully given him some confidence to carry into the next round.

Because Asa is hot property, so it's entirely reasonable to fancy him for the win. Otherwise, dead on, the race is way open.

The women going second bit caught me out when I watched on Sunday because the womens elite DH programme very helpfully began by telling the the mens result. Cheers, TNT Sports 👍🏻

I keep swapping Vergier, Maples & Henri Kiefer around, this is certain to bite me on the arse.

And the broadcasters are missing a huge trick with qualy now, given the sheer jeopardy of it.

Well I haven't got any of them so that may sort out the top 4 and 30 point gap between them... hold on, who is this johnny-come-lately imposter who's took top spot

Women's Q1 is all over bar the shouting. Remarkable to note of the entire field, only Miriam Nicole managed to take a single sector from Anna Newkirk.
