Did you have the vivid tuned, or are you using the standard, out of the box tune ?
And 600 sounds light for 220, no ?

I would be looking at setup. The Mte is a bit more frisky, but I wouldn't say the lte is really.
I’ve not ridden an e Druid on coil though.

It’s straight out of the box. I was considering trying a 650 pound coil but since my sag is right where it’s supposed to be, I ended up just scratching my head. At this point I’m tempted to just throw an air shock on it and see how it changes.

Note that an off the shelf air shock will also be pretty out to lunch on the tune.
The vivid coil tune (for the aftermarket unit, not one off another bike) is not too far out from the forbidden tune. Still not the same either though.
I thought the lte felt heavier and more plow like than the druid, honestly.

Interesting. I definitely had the opposite experience on my bike, but again it has the coil and a zeb. For example, on flowy sections of trail with berms I feel like my bike sucks the life out of the momentum where the lte just flew through it and felt way more responsive and poppy. Frustrating and not sure what to do other than start other haha

My Druid definitely doesn't ride like that with a Vivid Air. I was shocked St how poppy and responsive it was on tbe first ride out on it considering how long the rear end is

Good to know. Thank you! Maybe I just swap the coil and see what happens.

I guess the question now is what direction to go. Get a vivid air or something more lightweight like a fox float x or super deluxe? Any thoughts?

I'd go vivid air, it's a mega air shock and the new one is meant to be an improvement again


I was set on changing out to a Coil like EXT or FAST but decided to stick with the Vivid air as I've got it feeling rewlly good now and I'll get it custom tuned for me when service time arrives

I’m leaning towards going with the new superdeluxe after reading it’s a bit more poppy/well rounded. I plan on buying a bigger bike for the steeper days(whole other convo dreadnoughtE/zendit/crestline haha).

Edit: pulled the trigger and am gonna swap the coil for a fox float x to mimic the current Druid e builds. I reached out to them and they were helpful in responding back. Thanks forbidden!

I have a vorsprung Telum with 550lb coil (I am 185lb). I actually find it more lively than the stock super deluxe which was rate pretty lively too me. I asked for a lighter rebound tune on my Telum. It’s an amazing shock. Super supple and eats chunk , yet it pops off jumps. Granted the Druid is more mini r cult rather than short travel trail, but it suits my “do everything on one bike” style

Have a look at this video. An interesting take on sizing the modern bike. My LBS is adamant I'm a S4 (I was 6'2" but these days 6'1" and probably shrinking, so firmly between sizes), but most on this site pushed me to the S3. I've now got a Dread-e coming on a S3. And still the LBS ring to double check I don't want to go bigger.
After watching the video and calculating my RAD...I will probably use the minus RAD calculation, I'm very much a S3. Good for thought.

For what it’s worth … i am 5‘8 and went for an S2 (Druid) … fits me like a glove

do you think you will replace this with edread at one point or pretty much sorted with the druid now? Also any rattle on the m1 motor?

You’re right on the line of s1 & s2. Would definitely recommend riding both. I know that’s hard to do since they’re so scarce.

I am 1 cm inside the S3 recommendation and in hindsight I probably would have gone s2. With ebike sizing, generally size down if you straddle sizes.

Nice man! I’m having my bike swapped out to a fox float x to match what the current builds reflect. Will see how I like it vs the coil. Just waiting to get my bike back.
