Well, I think that's it for me...

It's so frustrating. Then you guys blame the Avinox owners for the argument.

The Avinox motor has been independently tested, along with the Bosch. The motor derated to 80% after 20 mins. I wish you guys would just stop making rubbish up. Then members might actually enjoy the reading.

you can pretend it's thermal overload if you want to.
this graph shows a pretty close correlation with the input power from the battery.

👍👍👍 Hey, these are a must for…

Here's some inspiration!

Yeah, I get ya annoyance. This forum is more populated with cashed up mild old aged guys more interested in the latest bike specs than ripping it up on those bikes.

Any way. I enjoy the inspirational riding posts. So feel free to bombard me with inspiration. I don't care what motor you have on ya E bike and am more interested in what you do on the E than the bike its self.

That down tube looks a bit to fat for my liking!

(Joke 😜)

I was on this forum a couple of different times in the past and it was very different. I'm looking for a place where I can talk about riding, get motivated, look at cool new components, help people new to make good decisions because it's really easy to get the wrong bike. I'm on my 9th and that's not from choosing well. But those bad choices have literally never been about the motor. Even when I got one I didn't really like.

But now this is all just about Avinox. There's a bunch of people on here with very high post counts and you can skim through the history it's all the same thing. Like a horny Jack Russell just at everyone's leg the whole time about the Avinox motor. For months and months on end, unceasingly. It starts to look like a psychological problem. I don't have the energy or inclination to fight.

I get you love your bike, but I love mine too. And while I think I'm about 40% as emotional about my motor, I don't want to have it constantly berated. As said above - I'm here to get MORE motivated. Not to get upgraditis. The discussion of frames, the most important part of the bike, is dead. And a lot of these posters are super narrow minded. Maybe it's about not being a MTBer before being an eMTBer. That's a weird phenomenon we're only going to get more of I guess. But this constant bickering and shit fighting over the motor - not even the majority of what matters about the bike - is just doing my head in. It isn't stopping. It hasn't stopped, the history is there to see. I find myself arcing up because I'm a bit on the spectrum and things that don't make sense cause me emotional damage :). And maybe that's a big part of the problem for me, admittedly.

So I'm out. I'll find some riding videos to get enthused. Probably every forum is just going to be this tribal "mines better that yours" bullshit, I would imagine.

This is still a valuable resource for info about bikes, how tos and that kind of thing. But Gemini indexes it all. I can get the info without the emotion. Perfect.

Flame away, I won't see it

Think yourself lucky you are not into air fryers mate it’s dominated by ninja this and ninja that

Is anyone planning to flounce off because of all the users whinging about Avinox bikes and their owners?

nah, these motors aren't throttling back because of thermal overload - 1300W continuous until the battery's State Of Charge drops the voltage.
I'm fully aware I'm not a regulator. I have put plenty of electronic products through NEMKO DEMKO and UL certification though.
Avinox are stretching legal definitions in Europe and I can talk about that on an eMtb forum however much you stamp your feet.
Nah, I’ve literally had it happen when pushing hard continuously, even though I had plenty of battery left. You don’t own one, you haven’t ridden one and you don’t know WTF you’re talking about.

I believe this thread is proving the OPs point... if only he resurrected himself to see what he's forsaken upon us.
It’s pretty funny.
This crybaby starts useless goodbye cruel world thread……….
Gets more attention than he ever got in real life. …….
Can only watch from forum heaven🤣🤣

Is sorta….. all be it very boringly, proven partially correct.

you can pretend it's thermal overload if you want to.
I don't have to pretend. I ride one and experience it. You ?

The motor gets hot. You can feel it. It gets hot. The power display drops off. Especially in high temperature, high humidity climates.

Avinox Customers, especially on the internet, remind me of these guys.
So who started this "Butthurt" thread, saying "It's all about "Avinox", so I'm leaving". ...... Mate ....... The princess syndrome runs deep.

There's plenty of other threads to read. Read my thread that I started last week about the Merida E160, with the Shimano motor.
But now this is all just about Avinox.
I'm reminded of my old buddy Johnny ........ "They drew first blood, not me" ;)
