Well, I think that's it for me...

That makes our job easier.

The OP was on the probable ban list for using "Fxxxing" in nearly every post.

Animal abuse (in his profile he says he rides a small dog) I realise that's probably normal in Aus/NZ (his IP address is both and lots of VPN) but it's frowned on in many places in the world.

He's been reported Twice.

Despite complaining about the Avinox threads, he was trolling most of them.

Therefore he's now banned incase he changes his mind.

For the sake of everyone on the forum, if you have no interest in something, remember you don't have to go into every related thread and tell everyone that and give your opinion on it - this goes doubly for everyone who has zero experience on the subject. Then we won't have all the endless defensive Avinox replies - simple really isn't it ??

Thanks.

Got to love family guy

I was on this forum a couple of different times in the past and it was very different. I'm looking for a place where I can talk about riding, get motivated, look at cool new components, help people new to make good decisions because it's really easy to get the wrong bike. I'm on my 9th and that's not from choosing well. But those bad choices have literally never been about the motor. Even when I got one I didn't really like.

But now this is all just about Avinox. There's a bunch of people on here with very high post counts and you can skim through the history it's all the same thing. Like a horny Jack Russell just at everyone's leg the whole time about the Avinox motor. For months and months on end, unceasingly. It starts to look like a psychological problem. I don't have the energy or inclination to fight.

I get you love your bike, but I love mine too. And while I think I'm about 40% as emotional about my motor, I don't want to have it constantly berated. As said above - I'm here to get MORE motivated. Not to get upgraditis. The discussion of frames, the most important part of the bike, is dead. And a lot of these posters are super narrow minded. Maybe it's about not being a MTBer before being an eMTBer. That's a weird phenomenon we're only going to get more of I guess. But this constant bickering and shit fighting over the motor - not even the majority of what matters about the bike - is just doing my head in. It isn't stopping. It hasn't stopped, the history is there to see. I find myself arcing up because I'm a bit on the spectrum and things that don't make sense cause me emotional damage :). And maybe that's a big part of the problem for me, admittedly.

So I'm out. I'll find some riding videos to get enthused. Probably every forum is just going to be this tribal "mines better that yours" bullshit, I would imagine.

This is still a valuable resource for info about bikes, how tos and that kind of thing. But Gemini indexes it all. I can get the info without the emotion. Perfect.

Flame away, I won't see it.
This isn't an Airport!
No need to inform about departure!

I stopped posting on here quite a while back but that was mainly because of that Gary character, who I found to be quite toxic. Even to the point that if I was out riding and had a slight pedal strike, I would think of him.

What I did though was very subtle. I just stopped posting . It required minimal effort.
I’ve never heard of Avinox. Is it one of those chemical companies that only make the news when a factory in Asia blows up?

I think there's a few vocal Avinox haters and people get riled up by them because they behave pretty much exactly like hikers/equestrians that want to ban mtb from trails.
I think you've completely missed the point - whilst high-lighting one source of the animosity
People are concerned that legislation in Europe will change for the worse because Avinox (in particular) are stretching the definition of rated to '250W continuous'
they DON'T want eMtb's banned - they are scared of blanket knee jerk legislation that will affect their trail access

I await the 'Face Palm' and 'Poo' emojis from the devotees

I post this in jest, but every time I see something like this thread I think of this:

Replace Facebook with EMTB Forums and near the end replace “we just had a baby” with “I just got a new bike” 🤣

That makes our job easier.

Awesome! I 1000% agree! Now can we get also rid of the other problem children that are in here creating division and causing all of this negative drama, like notaninfluencer and the other trolls like him with an agenda?

Reminds of when people used to write letters of complaint to Points of View (UK TV show for where people whinge about stuff on BBC)...

Dear Anne, I sat through 90 minutes (random TV show) and was shocked and offended throughout the whole thing...

I used to always think well why didn't you change the fxxking channel then?

If you’d started the letter with Dear Barry, it would be because people were too lazy to get up and change the channel or because there nothing else on.

It feels exactly like politics when people root against whoever is president at the time, hoping they screw up to have their little “told you so” moment. When in reality it’s just affecting them and everybody else in their country for them to not do good.

Even if you have zero intention on getting one, having Avinox around is a great thing. We already see that with spesh pricing. Bosch’s next motor will inevitably be better than Avinox I hope! Then we will all be raving about Bosch and hopefully nobody becomes haters like we’re getting.

There’s so many avinox experts in this very thread who have never ridden one. Almost 100% of the power power power talk is started from guys who never rode one. Of course we’re going to step in against you guys pushing and hoping for a ban and more regulation. You’d do the same if tables turned and that was your bike. Nobody bashes Bosch, spesh, etc. it’s only a one way street and you’re called derogatory names and hated on if you express that you like your Avinox.

Sucks op got to that point of anger on here and I’m sure I played a part in that. I don’t feel great arguing with you guys. I have zero issue with anyone on here and I’d banter with you in person as well. It’s all for fun and I hope Bosch/spesh/etc crushes their next release and we can just keep enjoying amazing bikes/motors.

I still don't see the correlation between having ridden or not ridden a Class 2+ bike and you not seeing the reality that it's a Class 2+ bike. It goes 28 mph and has double the allowable power at the push of a button. What is so confusing about that? Just because you really like it?

The Avinox is good, VERY good in fact,. It's still a Class 2+ product, and those are not allowed on bike trails full stop. There were a set of rules that decided that up to a certain assistance level e-bikes are close enough to a bicycle to have full access to bike trails, and above that it's a motorcycle.

Doesn't matter how good it is if it's breaking the rules. I don't care if it's possibly quieter, lighter, cheaper, smoother, etc. That's not relevent in the least.

here’s my point perfectly. The speed/power/regulation talks are always non-avinox guys starting this. Should Avinox owners just let it happen without response? If you don’t intend on riding or buying it, then why are you in particular non stop talking about it? If you don’t want it that’s ok. Having it around is still pushing Bosch/spesh/etc to compete and that can be in smaller form factor, pricing, software stuff, etc. which all benefits you!!!! I cannot imagine myself doing this crap if the Bosch motor becomes the absolute best thing and you guys rave about it. I’d personally think “damn I need to demo that” or otherwise just enjoy the reviews until I was ready for an upgrade. It’s not that hard.

And suns you were ranting about regulation, then you found out orbea was getting Avinox and your tune changed and you went quiet on regulation stuff and Avinox hating, then you found out they are doing a 750w limited Avinox and immediately went back to regulation posts. It’s just this weird bias with you guys. Let’s not do this whole circle again though. There’s a regulation thread and I’ve just been avoiding it. If regulation comes up in your area and your bike is fully legal then you’re fine and have nothing to worry about.

that's because there is zero correlation.
both sides of the argument fear draconian legislation,
the rest is tribalism.

You breaking the laws affects me if they began to lump all e-bikes together. That's why what you do with your Class2+ bike matters to me.

Your second paragraph is completely made-up BS bro. Nothing at all like that happened. I knew for a fact that the Wild was being released with an Avinox before I had gotten my Bosch Wild. I prefer the Bosch, for several reasons and at that time the improvements from the M1 were unknown. The low efficiency and noise from the M1 were complete no-gos for me. But I do REALLY like the Wild and yah, new bikes are cool and I enjoy sharing the bike stoke. And also, I happen to think the Avinox is a bad ass system particularly with the M2s, but they need to be Class 1 for all of our sakes. So of course, I'm excited about the new Avinox Wild but I was NEVER even remotely considering replacing my own Wild, not for years (it only has 30 miles on it because I blew out my knee on the second ride, had surgery 2 days ago!); so please don't misrepresent me. I'm more into the other bike tech like the shock and the dropper than the motor system btw.

“If.” Surrons been breaking them laws and get lumped the e-bikes too. But sure suns you’re right. Keep on keeping on! Look forward to more of your avinox expertise and iron fist for authority!

I get why op left lol. And im not excluding myself here. Its just hard not to get wrapped into this crap.

Karen, back at it again I see. No one is misrepresenting you. You are misrepresenting Avinox bikes repeatedly calling them class2+ whatever that’s supposed to be. Class 2 has a throttle like a Suron and you know that, but you’re here trolling again in yet another anti Avinox thread because you apparently don’t have a life. Maybe scroll up and re-read what the moderator said. You’re doing exactly what he said the OP of this post was doing. Avinox bikes and their owners are in reality, not affecting you in real life. Just in your head. Then you make it political by calling another user a Trumper. And no, you’re not more into other bike tech like suspension than the motor. Look at your own posts. Easily 90% of your posts are about Avinox motors. You sound like a toxic blue haired facist activist with Avinox derangement syndrome bro. You should seek help comrade.

Second best thing I've seen this week. A gif of someone jumping out of a window immediately followed by a post by a user called Plummet 😂

I am starting to see a trend with people who are vehemently pro 1500W eMtb's, they seem to be psychic - they know what other people are thinking - spooky.
They also appear to insult people left right and centre whilst simultaneously being the victim...

Wrong again.

Class 1 is up to 20mph US/ 25kph Euro & 750 watts, with crank/ pedals only.
If it exceeds the above it's Class 2. For example, 1500w & 28 mph.
Class 3 means it has a throttle, that's a Suron.

Forreal? Did you read this thread? We got called horny jack Russell, clit, thrush, chlamydia buyers before any Avinox owner spoke in.

Avinox has the three most recent full power motors. Of course we will talk about it. There will be a change once the next new thing comes out so relax. We can’t even say we like something about our motor without being berated even in an Avinox titled thread (not this thread of course).

No, you’re wrong again. Go back and look at the sign you keep posting. What does the one in the middle say? I know, reading is hard for you right?

Avinox and G4 Specialized are both class 1 and 3 compliant.

I've been in plenty of these threads
and I've seen the rather exciteable defence of 1500W motors
the basic point is constantly ignored and taken as a personal attack
it's unfortunate, but not surprising we've got to this point...

(and yes personal attacks have come from both sides of the argument)

This one that shows yet again that you are NOT riding a Class 1 bike?

That's the one that you want me show for proof. WTF?

Like I don't want to argue with you or the other Avinox diehards, just acknowledge that you are NOT riding a Class 1 bike and that it is in fact illegal on non-motorized trails. Quit pretending otherwise. I KNOW it's a great motor system. I believe you that it is very controllable. I understand it has superior tractability over the Bosch and I don't need to 'just ride one Bro' to believe you as I accept it to be 100% true. It looks GREAT, everyone can see that. None of these are the argument at hand.
