Sensitive much?
No I have already seen video evidence of rattle. But these instances could def be hub or something else too. Things rattle on bikes we all know that. Sometimes when we blow the Avinox rattle out of proportion it’s easy to just say that’s the cause for someone who maybe doesn’t wrench on bikes. I’m not denying a possibility of Avinox rattle but I am for sure hoping it’s untrue or just a select few bikes because I own one..

The same way you’re suspicious of people saying it doesn’t rattle, why is it sensitive if I’m suspicious of people saying theirs does without seeing proof?

DJI clearly listened to all the complaints about the Avinox M2S motor rattle.

To address the issue, they've apparently introduced a running production change and started sending out a special service kit to selected testers. I was lucky enough to receive one of the very first kits for evaluation.

After extensive testing, I can confirm that the concept is promising. Noise levels are dramatically reduced, installation is straightforward, and the kit comes in a handy storage case.

Extremely defensive. Pretty interesting there's probably 100 reviews of the avinox m2/m2s and has anyone mentioned a rattle? I have one on order btw...

500+ miles on M2S and still no rattle. No abnormal noise when pulling chain or moving crank backwards. PX pro.

I guess those with silent motors aren't keen to shout about it... sod's law and all that.

The Gustav brakes intermittent squealing however is driving me insane and I spend more time re-aligning calipers and cleaning than I do riding at this point.

Alright, lol. Call me what you will, a video of said rattle could still help in diagnosis and help others decide if it’s worth getting an avinox or not.

So you accept anyone saying it rattles free of proof, but deny hundreds of reviews and people on here saying it doesn’t rattle at all? Make that make sense. Is it also not possible these two brand new 1 post members have hub rattle, cable rattle, etc etc that could be the cause? I’m not sponsered by avinox bro. If my M2s rattles I’ll definitely report it. I just hope it will be as silent as my m1 was for me.

If it rattles on the work bench it's probably not brake pads, cables or the like.
There are lots of legitimate reasons for variance in the rattle including: riders on trails with few high speed compressions, low engagement hubs, riders that pedal through rough areas maintaining gear pressure, high pivot suspension, low pedal kick back suspension designs, suspension set up very stiff, deafness, ear plugs, manufacturing tolerance, influencers glossing over noises to maintain favor, 'ringer' motors provided to testing organizations, kilometers/ break in/ wear on the motors, etc.

Clearly for some people, the M2s in fact rattles. If you want guaranteed rattle free for the life of the bike, buy a Gen5.

wow you're putting a lot words in my mouth. You proved my point. Sensitive.

There is literally a Bosch gen 5 rattle thread going right now. Some rattling on the work bench lol. I’ve seen videos on emtb fb group of gen 5 Bosch rattles as well. That’s not to say it’s a rattly motor because most people don’t have the issue. Why are we just accepting M2s as rattley off of a couple reports without proof besides like 1-2 videos and now we label it a rattle machine lol.

Only two things are occurring in the case of a rattling Gen5 (and we've already covered it before, just 2 pages back in fact).
1) the motor is broken and warrantable. Or
2) something else is rattling on the bike and it's misdiagnosed which frankly is pretty easy to do.
The motor literally disconnects the rattling bits when it's operating correctly. Not physically possible to rattle.

My Pivot rattle on my first ride (after 20km shuttling) fast speed on waves from braking, especially on higher frequency irregularities. On my "old" Amflow PL I also have a rattle noise, but coil shock and Cascade link help a lot...

Ok so you don’t think the same could be said for these Avinox M2s cases? I just don’t get the double standard. This is exactly my entire point. You’re backing the gen 5 rattles but label the M2s as rattly when you have no clue the reason why.

How is it impossible for a motor to not rattle? I get that the motor disengages but that doesn’t mean something in there couldn’t begin to rattle lol. Maybe it’s not disengaging properly, something breaks, etc etc.

I like the prominent thread “Gen 5 Rattle” that is yet to be retitled to “Vala Rattle” , with that being said I have not seen anything defining in regards to the Avinox rattle, I welcome an update on exactly what and why there is or is not and issue. I find it remarkable that there are so few actual claims, (Alex the bike Whisperer excepted) when you consider that is is a production bike currently being sold. I have no idea if there is or is not a rattle, just noticing that as of yet I have not seen a conclusion. I do appreciate that the early adopters will sort things out in time for making a decision on which bike to buy :)

Which has been discussed that its a battery lock issue, motors are quiet.

Ok 3 brand new 1 post members reporting rattle on this thread today only. Not sus?
If someone has a motor with a rattle, it's not too fantastical to imagine that they might google the issue and find this thread. Unfortunately it's just full of pointless bickering rather than anything solid that might help them.
The other possibility (that you seem to favour) is that competing manufacturers are trying to blow this up into a big issue by fabricating stories. In which case you are helping them out by constantly re-posting to the thread and raising the profile of both the thread and the issue.
