My bike fell over today while stationary, and the plastic piece that connects the Kiox on my Trek Powerfly 7 FS to the handlebar broke. The Kiox itself still works, and this part doesn’t include any electrical connections (those are on the other side of the joint), but I can’t figure out what this piece is called or how to find it.

I don’t want to replace the whole holder because that would also mean redoing the wiring.

For now, I’ve secured it with two zip ties.

Do you have any idea where I could find it, or how to identify it?

Any advice @Greg Watts ? I live in Italy but can easily get items shiped also from other EU countries and the UK (for free).
The broken piece is almost certainly the Kiox 300 handlebar mount/bracket - a separate plastic clamp that holds the display body to the bar, distinct from the wiring connector on the other side. The good news: Bosch sells it as a standalone part through their dealer network, so you shouldn't need to touch the wiring at all.

The part is listed under Bosch's eBike spare parts catalogue - your Trek dealer or any authorised Bosch eBike service centre can order it by looking up "Kiox 300 handlebar bracket" or "Kiox 300 mount" in the Bosch spare parts system. I'd avoid quoting a part number because I can't verify one right now and getting that wrong would send you on a wild goose chase.

Practical routes from Italy:Your Trek dealer - first port of call; they can access Bosch's parts catalogue directly and order it in. Even if they don't stock it, turnaround within Italy should be reasonable.

Bosch eBike spare parts via a German or Dutch dealer - places like Fahrrad.de or similar EU cycle shops sometimes ship small parts across the EU cheaply. Worth a quick search for "Kiox 300 Halterung" (German) if you want to shop around.

eBay.de or eBay.it - the Bosch mount occasionally turns up as a genuine spare or bundled with a used display. Search "Kiox 300 Halter" or "Kiox 300 bracket".

The zip ties will hold it fine in the meantime - that joint carries no load to speak of.

Just Google Kiox mount, they are readily available.

You don't need the exact same mount, just one that works but if it has to be like for like, Trek have a customer service phone line & will tell you.

I will probably go with a similar model, but I liked the fact that it did not used any room on the stem or on the handlebar other than a small unused spot right in the center.

I'm bringing it to the Trek assistance because after that small accident it became very noisy. There is something wrong on the rear but I cannot understand where exactly and why, because it happens only when I am weighing on the saddle and accelerating

Hope components may have a mount for this display, they make one for the original Kiox 👍

I have a similar mount that you use for the Kiox. After a few otb , branches flicking off the Kiox and my OCD for a clean cockpit, I moved things around.

I only use the stem mount for a night light or GoPro. The Kiox mount is still magnetic but it’s also attached with a tether.…just in case.

nice solution.

Personally, what I do not like of putting it there is that to look at the Kiox you have to look down and this is something that maybe dangerous if you get distracted. I keep usually speed, battery %, time and distance covered on my kiox. And battery is important. That's why I would prefer to keep it in front of the handlebar.

Understandable. I like a top tube mount because I only occasionally glance at the Kiox to see the colour of mode I’m in (purple for mtb) and what time it is. Any more than that and I would need my reading glasses. 🤓 (I can’t even see how much power I have left)🤷🏼‍♂️

I need my reading glasses too... so I created - talking about OCD :) ...- a spreadsheet to identify the optimal way to have information organized that I can read. I share it in case it maybe useful to someone. It applies to a BUI330 and maybe other Kiox:

That’s what I’ve done too, the Kiox mount was good on the stem but I hated my Garmin on my top tube so I’ve swapped them over so I can see the Garmin more clearly 👍

Question: Is it really worth having a Garmin for navigation? What gives you more than a mobile phone?

yeah I think Garmin is pretty good, it’s better than Komoot, I do use my phone as a navigation device but I use it through Komoot and with my ear buds, my phone is in my pocket out of harm’s way 😉
