DFYRS provided early access to their Speedworks drop, so I copped some new gear. Wish they offered more jersey styles in light color. Not realistic to wear black in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix metro area).

Not exactly did I buy something to my bike today, instead invested in my safety and comfort 😉

I just got the spanking new “Venture Vest” from Bluegrass Eagle in the mail this morning.

It’s kinda hybrid upper body protection (Level 1 Chest and Level 2 Back), Running vest, backpack kinda thingy.

Fit is unbelievable comfy and hugs my dad bod just perfect.

Plenty of storage for in my case phone, wallet, keys, dog leash and transmitter. A light jacket, rain jacket or vest neatly tucks away in a back stretch pocket and if you’re into hydration bladders there’s a hook and room for it as well.

Immediately took it out for short ride and can absolutely recommend it, especially when you’re doing more of those higher consequence rides in the alpine like i do most of the times.

Super convenient not having to carry around a bum bag or backpack over upper body protection!

Albeit the price tag is a little steep at €250.- but heck - what gives 😂

No way is a t-shirt $81 ???? what are they smoking?
If you check them out closely you’ll find they’re very well made riding jerseys, not t-shirts. Not sure what people riding in but a $81 retail for a proper jersey is not absurd at all in my experience. Troy Lee’s are usually $90-100 for example. Of course I usually buy jerseys on sale, as I did here. I’ll be landed at $54 each (buy 2, get 1 free). Who’s complaining about a premium riding jersey for $54?? Not me! Plus I like supporting a small company.

TBH it’s the $45 gloves that fells like splurging to me…

The lass with the horns doing a superman is a cracking logo to be fair.
I buy Merino Tops - they are ridiculously expensive, apart from the obligatory crash holes they seem to last forever!

I love my Feetures Merino 10 socks but I’ve been reluctant to invest in a merino jersey. I know it’ll be super comfortable, but I’m afraid of pilling, and/or it becoming misshaped. You’re not seeing that?

no not at all
not even with cheap ones and definitely not with my mons royale collection
a tiny bit of sun bleaching with two dark tops that are like 15 years old - that's it

Good merino won't pill but often its adulterated with lower grade wools. I have some Devold wool jerseys and their riding tops are superb. Nicely cut and sewn, comfortable, warm and hard wearing for me so far. NZ merino wool which is usually superior to Australian wool, much like rugby players. Not especially cheap but they are especially good.

I sometimes wear merino bike tops but get mine from SportPursuit for not a lot of monies. Got some by Vulpine that were only 40 quid each. Only have one pocket, though, if that's important...

Hi everyone. I started this thread years ago and after a long break I am stunned it’s still going strong!
Today I bought my gen3 levo pro some tyre sealant top up pouches and some brake cleaner. Recently high rise bars too(50mm).
I am glad to report thousands(5k plus) of trouble free miles mostly in the rocky lakes. Wonderful bike.

A new tube of carbon paste. It has so many creaks and groans that I feel the need to pull some of it apart and rebuild it.

I also tried two bike shops for a GPS unit with no luck and these places wonder why they're slowly being replaced by Amazon. If you have nothing in stock I will shop elsewhere...
