Has anybody else had problems viewing pages on the forum recently?
If I click on a post it takes about 30 seconds to open, and then, most of the time, an "unable to load page" error message appears with a "reload" button.
If I click on the button the page usually opens immediately.
When a page with photos opens, only a few of the photos appear, so much of the page has blank boxes.
The same happens when I try to post something, and I have to try posting it a number of times before anything happens.
This happens on both Firefox and Edge browsers.

Clear the cache & see if it improves. Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Windows but make sure you know your logins & passwords if you're some sort of dinosaur not using a password manager(!)

Some sort of dinosaur here! :ROFLMAO:

What if they hack the password manager?
Is it possible to hack the password manager, or just very hard.
Genuinely want to know. :)

If all a password manager does is to provide convenience, I'm not interested.

Good point! On my android phone the password manager only gets activated with my finger print (every password) so yes secure there but the same one on my PC opens and is functional for all passwords when the browser opens, no security beyond windows login, hmmn, not so good.o_O

Any software can be hacked if someone is determined enough but the point of a password manager is to overcome password fatigue I.e silly sods using the same password for every site they use or using easily guessed passwords like 12345, password or admin.

How the hell do you know my log in details 🤔

Mine was doing it from before xmas. At the time I thought it was just a crap internet connection (which it might have been). Been fine for the last few days though.

For a couple of weeks now I have found that whilst posts that are notified (PC or phone) open straight away, everything else I then try to do on the forum takes at least 30 seconds to load. I have no internet issues so I assumed the issue was with the forum server.

I think it might be ISP specific.

I found it sporadic at the house when I was in the UK (fast fibre) , but at the gym, airport, using 4g/5g not in the house - it was always fine.

Hopefully just a temporary thing which has been sorted or will be ASAP.

No problems here either (CDN). I use 5G on my iPhone, iPad and computer. Fibre optic. (Use iPhone 98% for this forum).

But since we’re griping about stuff …the increase in emoji’s is nice, but now my “like” emoji disappears when other options suddenly appear. I click again and have to carefully start over.

I’ve either exceeded my forum limit, my fingers are to fat, or I haven’t figured it out yet. 🤷🏼‍♂️ . My time is precious 😉(tic…tic…tic…)

I’m having the same issue, it’s only on my WiFi though. If I turn off the WiFi on my phone/tablet and use the 5G connection it’s fine. It’s been happening since the end of November’ish for me.

If this is happening seems likely that it’s ISP related - let me know who you use 👍

If access via mobile phone network is OK whilst WiFi access is slow the issues probably lays with the WiFi Internet connection to the server. 4g and 5g mobile networks will have their own Internet connection. The WiFi Internet connection to the server is either down on bandwidth capacity or its interface to the server is faulty. I don't believe it is an Internet Service provider issue since for me and others that have reported the problem there are no similar problems accessing any other server. I am with EE on my PC and 3 on my phone. Same experience with both and I only use WiFi. The delay is the same regardless what time of day I access the forum.

Hi Rob, both myself and the the OP Nicho are in Cumbria so that could be a factor. I'm with BT.
I am with EE which uses the same network as BT but different routers.
I have just tried accessing the forum on my tablet, and it works fine on both WiFi and 5G, although posts such as Pic of the day with lots of photos takes a few seconds before it opens.
