Here in Victoria/Australia a totally locked 250w maximum and 25Kph maximum on my hybrid 27.5 XDS E-Volve Bafang M400 motor/controller sounds like that was conceived by a bunch of lawyers and not cycling engineers who can understand how RIDICULOUS those limitations are, I can feel the nanny speed limiter cutting in BEFORE 25Kph is reached, so what gives Bafang the right to over-the-top deny any adjustment access to MY PURCHASED PROPERTY when all I want to do is up the speed limit by a lousy 5Kph to 30Kph so the bike doesn't feel like a mobility scooter, I'm also responsible enough to slow peddling down to 25Kph or less when encountering bike path foot traffic/other riders, the likes of Bafang have enforced the concept from a eBike being a viable transport alternative into a sluggish embarrassment to ride, with insult to injury bicycle riders forced to overtake me whilst (understandably) shaking their heads for holding them up !
