What did you buy your ebike this week?

LBS good all dependingon shop and Ebiketurnover. Some can't afford to have spares lying on shelf like bigger dealers. You read on here about folk waiting months for parts. Nothing to do with Ebikes but my kona Hybrid been in garage for a month, they still don't know what's wrong with it.

pretty good comm's - very good price
not had any real warranty issues so can't really vouch for that side
(I had a leaky piston - they arranged for Shimano to sort)

I got my Rise from them too and they we're great thoughtout the whole process.

my phone let me down (no reception where we live) and I didn't get their messages in time for when I wanted delivery
wish I'd changed the Black fox decals on my forks to another colour before they put the invisiframe on
but that was on me not them
we both got 30% off the retail price on last years models with Klarna 0% over 36 months

They installed Invisframe for me too, and did a great job. I also asked them to order an fit the flat ICR headset cover to let me use my own stem, so they ordered that from Orbea in Spain and installed it when building the bike up.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying an ebike online due to any warranty issues that might arise, but they offer a bike collection and return courier service for £75 which isn't that bad.

Based on some convincing statements from some unknown strangers on the Internet, I’ve decided to try this gunk.

The Internet has never steered me wrong before,View attachment 182681 so I’m sure it won’t now

Fast shipping, will report results …
I'd love to leave that brush in a tooth brush holder somewhere.

can you imagine a burglar seeing that

Interesting that about delivery. I got a bike delivered and had to use a Turriff company that delivers motorbikes it wasn't cheap. Funnily enough I asked a major online shop and they said they use Dpd or someone similar but you speak to them they said oh no we don't deliver ebikes.Obviously a contract.

Aye I tried loads must have a specific dangerous goods contract. None were interested in one off. Paid 170 for last bike but I got another 10 percent off from Berkshire cycles so still 400 better than Tredz bikes were. Lad I know used someone else 120 to Wales I think..

Paisley Freight are a popular one for shipping bikes, although I'm not sure if they handle ebikes.

This place does take ebikes and have specially adapted vans so you don't need a box: Cycle Courier Co.

could one of the mods make this thread a sticky? Also the companion What did you do to your E Bike today? I'm mostly a lurker, and though I follow this thread, it doesn't come up in my "New posts" list unless I comment once in a while. I always hate just making "bump" comments, but totally enjoy seeing what people buy.

Purchased my PX from mtbmonster too.
I realised last weekend that the guy who put my bike together used the wrong bolt on my stem and stripped the head...
Currently trying to work out how to sort it.
They initially offered for me to take the bike in, but I live too far away and don't drive.
They have now offered me £30 to take it to a local bike shop or to cover the cost of a removal tool.

It actually looks like someone has already started to use a removal tool and drilled some of the centre out.

oof! I take my reccomendation back!
that is very poor - apprentice Friday afternoon job
I think I'd request they send a courier to collect it for them to make it good
all paid for by them...

Accidents happen. Covering up your accident is amateur.

I’m asking the “ is this the tip of the iceberg ?” question. That bike needs a good, thorough, full inspection. Any poor assembly will be blamed on you from here on out.

Agree - very carefully check the entire bike. One bodge begats another, so to speak.

I got a Fox DHX2 (companion to the X2 that was on)2 weeks ago and last week a 210mm Fox Transfer (upgrade from the stock 170mm Orbea Dropper on my Wild)

Now I am fighting with the cable housing, so it looks lile I will also be removing the motor for the first time 😅

Did you get a deal on the shock? its my next upgrade.

Dhx2 specifically or also open to other coil shocks? RS Super Deluxe Coils also seem to be priced to move…
I'd like to stay matchy matchy or if something is bling enough, I would consider. The RS I have on another bike, it won't match, and we know that's the most important bit.

Weird that aren't using the new Bosch display.
Just cost saving, I guess.
When I was looking at the higher spec 9.8 which was about £8.5k it still uses the basic display. I thought the top model would have it but seemingly not!

Bought 2 new Shimano I-spec. EV brake levers with shifter and dropper post lever to fit in an effort to clean up a crowded cockpit. Looks good but don't believe any of those vids on U-tube that say you only need a top/burp bleed after replacing levers! It took me at least an hour of pumping and shaking before I got any bite on the front brake and another half hour before it was usable. Hopeless on the back brake even with the bike high nose up in the stand, ended up removing the caliper/pads and doing a gravity bleed, which worked great.:)

A new tire pressure gauge. Topeak Shuttle gauge digital. My relatively simple BBB gauge didn't read correct pressure when using Fillmore valves. This new one does. And it is quite fancy, with rotating head and a connection for a pump, so I can measure while pumping.
