Don’t leave your bike plugged into a charger without power being supplied. The charger can reverse drain the battery killing it.
I did this when my bike & charger were plugged into my van inverter and the house battery dropped below the low voltage threshold and it shut down.
This is one of the reasons it is bad practice to leave your bike plugged in for long periods in case of power cuts.

Never heard of that one, at least not with spesh ebikes, I guess DJI has even more knowledge in this field so they could make even smarter/better/safer battery protection systems ... on spesh ebikes there is some kind of smart communication channel between the charger and the BMS which initiates charging process (switches on integrated contactor) so if charger is connected to the battery but not in the outlet, there should be no connection between the battery contacts and the charger itself, so reverse drain should not be possible ... Afaik every ebike brand does not recommend having charger connected to the battery for longer periods of time after charging is completed, because of several possible reasons:
  • it is fundamentally bad for the battery health to be charged up to 100% and let it sit for longer periods of time
  • even worse if it is connected to a charger and constantly topped up to 100%
  • it is recommended to charge the bike under supervision (at least being at home & awake when you do it), so you can react immediately if you see something wrong. If you leave charger connected 24/7, proper supervision is harder to achieve ...
  • most importantly, there is a increased fire hazard doing so, as BMS or charger could - like any other device - suddenly fail and in worst case scenario they can initiate uncontrollable charging to the battery which is already full and this can cause battery to expolode or catch on fire
To avoid possible battery drain to a kritical low SoC for any reason, check the battery SoC at least every few weeks, and then assesing how much or how fast the drain happens, and then you can adjust on which period you must top up the battery to keep it in desired SoC - about 60% for long term storage ...

I would love it if a spare button on Sram AXS pod could be used to change motor modes. My 2nd pod is for AXS dropper and the 4th button is spare.

AXS pods can already output up to 8 ANT+ "functions" to control something like a Garmin head unit, so why cant that be used to change power modes.

This would allow for a very clean cockpit and I could leave the 2 amflow wireless buttons off the bike.
 
10 Speed cassette options.

I'm currently running Shimano CS-LG400 - 10sp 11-39T with a 36T CR, and software doesn't display the correct gear I'm in (2-11), it does that with the CS-LG700 11sp 11-45T selected and the XS1270 12sp 10-52t that was previously selected. I'm guessing the other available options would likely display the same.

It estimates based on the no of cogs, I have 10s 11-43 which is the same as an lg400 11s 11-50 but without the 50cog gear. Is LG400 11speed 11-45 an options? I'd use that and change the chainring to 36t it'll probably work, just the displayed gear will be +1 until they add more cassettes

Not sure how it's estimating what gear I'm in b/c with a 12 spd cassette selected in the software it still only goes down to 2nd and up to 11th on the screen, same with 11 spd cassette selected. Yes I could switch it, but I don't see what difference it might make to switch from LG700 to LG400 in the 11spd list. I think +1 may be an over simplification of it, but knowing why isn't really helpful for me, just here to request/wish for 10 speed cassette options. :)

oh I misunderstood - so yours is reporting the gears fine already just +1?

I'd second that 10s cassettes request then, or at least let us fill out the speed and gears and add our own custom cassettes

The bike has a cadence sensor and speedsensor so it must calc the gear from the different ratios they both spin at.

Why? One thing is to adapt when riding with Junior, many kids ebikes support limit is 20 kph.
The other advantage is to maximize range when fading out earlier in Eco.

I want to be able to calibrate rear wheel size based on rolling circumference. This changes with different brands & size tires.
ATM, it's either 29" or 27.5" wheel and this is crude calibration which can adversely result in motor assist ending before a true 25 kph is reached.

That would also be the means to get by the local speed restrictions as long you don't go to NZ and thats why we won't get this option.
 
I would love media controls for when playing music. Being able to pause, skip tracks and adjust the volume from the touch screen would be amazing.
 
Some kind of auto shift dependent on bike speed - switch with AXS to lower gears when speed drops (user selectable speed [or speed drop] vs no of gears drop)

This would be sick. I'm not sure the limits of Bluetooth. Is it possible for a bluetooth device to control the bluetooth playback on your phone, while the phone is outputting the bluetooth to your headphones? Might require the bike itself to be playing your media, which is obviously a much bigger ask to get spotify or whatever on there.

On most newer phones it is possible to pair the phone to 2 bluetooth speaker or headphone devices, so, for example, my wife and I can both listen to the same audio on separate headphones while we are on a plane. Not sure if you could instead pair to a device (the Amflow system) that is acting, effectively, as a remote control, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

This feature would limit power, torque, and speed for a predetermined period, ensuring compliance with competition regulations. During the selected time frame, it would not be possible to revert to maximum power or speed settings.

eMTB competitions around the world are increasingly imposing limits on power, torque, and speed to ensure fair competition and comply with local regulations. Avinox may risk losing global sales if this option is not made available soon.

Thank you, I am aware of the UCI regulations. I believe it was a good solution for professional teams sponsored by various manufacturers. My suggestion is to offer a simple solution for the numerous amateur competitions held around the world, allowing athletes to use motors that are commercially available in their various configurations of torque, power, and speed, suited to the specific standards of each competition or region.

Wow, thank you for filling in the gaps in my understanding on this topic. I've been wondering about how the UCI was handling this as Teewing sponsors a very successful team, and you would assume the UCI was aware of the power gap between Avinox and others. So if I understand correctly, they have a sort of "Pro Only" firmware that is installed to restrict the motors to be in compliance. While it is not viable for an amateur racer to switch firmware on a regular basis, it is at least promising that they are aware of the issue and have a setup that is in compliance. That seems like it should make it easier for them to make a "mode" that mirrors it, without the hassle of a firmware swap, as @Albertocsoares has requested.

next week i am joining in riva with my amflow pl the ebike marathon event because there is no power restriction . .

several years before i was starting at the bosch ebike challenge in riva . . but last year shortly before the event . . all riders with avinox were banned because of a change in the reglement . .

there is a small chance that amateurs (like me) also will get this special restricted race firmware . . will see

Yeah, it doesn't seem like it would cause any harm for Avinox to make it available for amateur racers who want it. If they are people who find that they generally only use lower power modes anyway, then it could be an easy solution. The only issue would be for people who find themselves mostly using high power modes in the daily riding, who are only restricting the bike reluctantly, and don't want to have the limitation imposed full time. I should also add that earlier, when I'd mentioned the hassle of swapping firmware, I was making assumptions based on firmware update experiences I've had on other equipment. If Avinox has made the firmware swap process easy, fast, and reliable, then it wouldn't be a big deal to go back and forth. From my perspective, a key thing in that situation would be some method of saving your account info and settings, so that when you revert to your stock firmware you don't need to reconfigure everything as if the bike was brand new.
 
Would be nice to be able to connect more than just one bike with the app.
Some people have more than one bike with an Avinox and it’s a big hassle to switch between them
 
Can we get a slider to adjust the speed of walk mode?
I'd like to slow it down just a bit, please.
 
Will the new features introduced with the M2 system also be made available for the existing M1 system? I’m referring to features such as customizable assist modes and heart rate–based control.

While navigation is already available, it is currently not very usable, so I hope this will be improved in future updates.

I am also waiting for integration of the DJI Osmo Nano, as it is disappointing that it is not functioning yet.
