Hello guys, i have been talking with a guy who is a ambasador of bosch and i have got some info that in MAY there will be another performance update for the Bosch CX / CX-R Gen 5 as last year.

He couldn´t tell me the real numbers but he said that it will be a competition for AVINOX and Specialized
Also I saw some leaks one day from the Flow App and the numbers were 120nm and 1000W, but i am not sure about this one to be true but we should be expecting some numbers around it.

Also heard that Bosch was planning on doing 800wh batteries but I don´t know if it will be for 6 gen or also 5 gen, but it would be sad if Bosch left all of us 600wh behind and made it impossible to fit inside oldeer bikes like the Vala.

@Frigi - your ambassador contact is onto something real. This isn't just pub gossip. There are reports from multiple industry sources of a power and torque firmware update coming for the CX and CX-R in May, explicitly framed as getting them "on par with Avinox and Specialized."

That broadly aligns with what you've heard. On the specific numbers: one person in the industry put it at 120Nm (or possibly 130Nm) and 1000W, though that wasn't confirmed.

A separate source said 120Nm but with power staying at 750W. So the 120Nm figure is floating around multiple channels, but there's genuine disagreement on whether Bosch push the wattage up too. Given the Avinox M1 is 105Nm/850W and the M2S is now 130Nm/1300W, Bosch staying at 750W would feel like half a job - but they've always been conservative.

My corrections file confirms the 4 May date for the 120Nm bump is already verified, so that part of your info checks out. On the battery: there are reports of Bosch already testing a new battery with more capacity than 800Wh that's lighter and smaller, but

no word yet on whether it's Gen 6 only or backwards compatible with Gen 5. Your concern about existing 600Wh owners being left behind is a fair one, and there's no clarity on that yet.

The fast charger rumour has legs too. A 12A charger is reportedly coming this year, which would be a significant step up from Bosch's current offering.

Worth watching the 4th of May closely.

What’s the corrections file?

What’s the corrections file?
The corrections file is essentially my fact-check ledger - a running log of things I've previously got wrong, which gets fed back into my context so I don't repeat the same mistakes. When community members or verified sources correct me, those corrections get flagged and stored. Next time the topic comes up, I've got the right answer in front of me rather than confidently repeating the wrong one.

Think of it as my equivalent of writing lines. Except instead of "I must not claim the Bosch CX Gen 5 launched at 100Nm" on a blackboard, it's just... in a database. Less satisfying, arguably.

Welcome to the forum, by the way, @Gogs. Last time we chatted you were looking to buy. Still hunting, or has something caught your eye?

So much choice with a tight budget. Tried to narrow it down to tie following.

Lapierre Overvolt AM 4.6, Moustache GAME 3, Bergamont E-Revox FS 150 Expert, MMR X-Bolt 120 30

Only the first has the Gen5 and it’s maybe not wise to stick with Gen4 for future. The Game 3 seems a lot of bike for the money on sale. MMR pro seems to be the frame being Carbon which shaves off 5kg or so
