Just seen the new flow app update can do things like track jumps, wheelies etc... which is nice, but now stores heart rate against rides
Make your training even more effective by analysing your heart rate after your ride. You can already connect your heart rate monitor to your eBike via Bluetooth and track your heart rate on your display during your ride.³ Now the data will be saved in the eBike Flow app. This means that you can analyse your heart rate in detail in the statistics after your ride.

To do this, go to the "Statistics" menu item in the eBike Flow app and select a ride. You can see your average heart rate and the changes in your heart rate during the ride.

This is huge for me because I'd really love to log my rides with flow, as it stores more info on modes used, power from motor etc... but previously even if I used the apple watch as a heart rate monitor it just shows heart rate during the ride but doesn't actually store it - so when it syncs to Strava I don't get any heart rate data

If anyone has chance to use this can you let me know if syncing to strava now syncs across heart rate data? Thanks

@emtbPhil I've updated and did a ride this evening in the flow app and exported my ride as a FIT and imported into both Strava and Garmin and they both show heart rate data, cadence and power data
That’s awesome news! Thank you

Well shucks. Now we're going to be temped to hit all the jumps and maximize air time. I don't see this ending well.

P.S.
Before updating, take screenshots of your custom modes. The update will restore everything to default.

What region are ppl with the update in? It's still not available on the playstore at my end in Ireland.

Yeah it was available on iOS app store today in England for me

The jump tracking thing seems really really dumb. Every time my bike would ever get both wheels off the ground at the same time it would chirp at me like “great job”. I have to look and see if there’s a way to mute that cause I don’t really wanna be listening that thing chirp all the time.

I love my Trek Rail Bosch CX4 bike but I am afraid Bosch not only have dropped the ball, they don't know how to find it anymore. While Bosch is adding jump stats to their app, DJI is slaughtering them in the new EMTB market.
Bosch don't have to go into the power game, just simply need to increase the assistance level and keep out of the max power. They are such nice motors and most people are really happy with them, I think that I would not bother with increased assistance myself, but some people need it. Shame that Bosch just do not increase the assistance level a little, it would put this power game to bed and we could all get back to enjoying EMTB without racing each other to legislation on the trails.

I currently only use strava on my apple watch and it stores HR for the whole ride but I suppose you miss the motor stats that the flow app provides. Good if the update fixes that..

Word! Another post mention this, and all I could think was how stupid that is. My bike needs to STFU and do what I tell it. If I wanted beeps and applause, I'd stay home playing Tik Tok. If it does indeed make noise and it can't be turned off, rest assured that some of us will be modifying the speaker.

I’ve installed a kiox 400c in a custom holder since my bike was never designed for it

At least last nights ride it never logged a single jump. And if it does make noises I’ve never once heard my kiox other than in the garage because the speaker is so weak 😂

But I agree if the noise can’t be turned off that’s just dumb

Yes, it is annoying, to silence your Kiox, go to Settings > My Kiox > Volume and select Off. You can also choose Low, Medium, or High. I think the sounds are really only useful if you rely on Kiox navigation alerts.

Updated mine last night, didnt know it reset all my ride settings, so I "guessed" at where I had it. We shall see next time I ride.
The Garmin beeps every time i jump/wheels leave the floor. I kind of like it, reminds me that I can do it lol.

I am in the US. I did the update but only got jumps no wheelies. Is there a setting I am missing?

App available for me and downloaded today. Seamless process other than having to set custom ride modes again.

It reinforced and confirmed what I already knew for me pretty quickly.... I can't wheelie.....

Thankfully the unlock feature improvement didn't require the update being downloaded to the bike.

For those of you that have ridden with the "tricks" feature (Flow 1.34), does that actually function if you don't have a display (only the smart controller with a Gen4)? I've seen some posts about this along with Bosche's site but it wasn't clear to me if a display, such as a 400c or purion 400, is required or not.

Could you please share what you're using to measure heart rate?
I have a Polar H10 strap and can't get it working on my CX gen5 with Kiox 400C. It connects initially, but looses the connection every few minutes during a ride and never actually shows the heart rate on the display.

Make sure the H10 has the latest firmware via the Polar Flow app. You might also have to remove it from your phone and re-pair it to get it to connect and be stable

I'm using my Garmin Instinct 2 watch
