It’s to carry a light e-bike transition relay .ideally a 3 bike carrier .
I’ve read the Thule xt doesn’t fit al e bikes which I find bizzare as it’s a bike carrier.Anybody give some insight please thanks

I’ve got the Buzzrack Scorpion Lite 2 bike rack, with the third bike add-on attachment for the rare times I carry 3 bikes.

I usually have 2 analogues on it, or 1 e-bike and then a couple of standard bikes. It’s a very solid rack, easy to fit and the rack, e-bike and two analogue bikes still comes in less than the 76kg nose weight limit on my load hitch.

I can recommend Thule EasyFold, using for more than a year now and very happy with it. It uses kind of zip ties for frame which makes it easier for bigger frame’s diameter.

I didn’t know they made a triple …I only need the double but it easily carries the EMTB’s. My model doesn’t have brake lights or license plate holder. But it folds up to the size of luggage with wheels.

Secured with 3 locks …2” hitch…hides in the bike cave.

Velocirax Raxzilla is pretty unique compared to Thule.
Roll on - roll off in 10 seconds.

Depends where you are located. Most countries have some killer bespoke multi-bike racks for carrying ebikes.

Gripsport and ISI Offroad are a couple of really good 'flat' racks we have here.

I bought the 2 bike version of the ISI below back in 2012, its still as good as it was when it was new. Professionally fabricated racks will outlast the mass produced by a long time.

I thought the Easy Fold has the clamps and not the ratcheting bands. Could be an updated model, I wonder if you can buy just the new arms..

Looks pretty cool, also looks expensive. Looking at the videos, it's not that simple to take it off the hitch.
oh, I run a Yakima Foldclick three bike carrier. Works well as I can push the tyre holder in, lift it off the towball and slide it folded up into the back of my SUV when out riding. That way it doesn't get knocked off in the carpark or damaged by a car moving through. Easy to pop back on when I get back. Only downside, is that it does weigh a bit. Got these crappy little wheels which are meant to make it easy to roll around, but it keeps tipping over.

Other than that, for Oz it works 'cause I need tail lights and a rego plate holder on the rack, which many other bike racks don't come with as standard.

Check the max nose weight of your car; you might find that a loaded 3 bike rack exceeds it. My new car has a 50kg limit so 2 KSLs and my Halfords 2 bike rack is too heavy! 😲

Nah, car has a 3.5 ton rated towing capacity, so three ebikes ain't going to trouble it. However fair point to consider if you have a smaller car.

Doomanic is right. There is the towing capacity but also the max load capacity for the towball (load from above, usually around 50 - 80kgs).

Used a Buzzrack e-Scorpion 2 for a few years now and it's a really solid rack. Couldn't see why a Thule equivilant would be worth 3/4x the price

I’ve used a Thule XT3 for the last two summers in the alps and a bunch in the uk. We brought a pair of DH bikes and a geometron back from the alps on it too after a mates van broke down, 12hrs at 90mph. We’ve always managed to fit whatever bikes we have with us on it, e-bikes, enduro, XC, DH. It’s great rack, with some caveats:

1. With XL 29er frames, you need to add the fat bike extended straps (for £15 or so) to make loading easier. My s5 KSL would only just go on with the stock straps (this is about the longest bike in the world), but with an extended strap it’s easy.

2. The arms that attach to the frame need positioning carefully as they feed through the frames of the bikes closest to the car so you have to dodge shocks, bottle cages etc. A mate had to remove a bottle cage from his Levo, but we’ve always managed to get 3 random bikes on without removing anything.

3. The middle and rear bikes are closer together than the front and middle, which means there is the potential to damage forks with through axle. I resolved this with a bit of duck tape on the bottom of the fork as padding.

As it happens, mine is for sale here:

Just thought I'd put up some info on my Thule euro classic and mounting a modern emtb.
I've done a few Mods on it as it was never really designed for the latest emtbs
Had to buy a different top strap mount/holder for mounting my Cube 177 (see picture)
Also bought some longer Thule ratchet straps, due to wheel base length and bigger tyres. ( Note: A pain to fit 😤 but doable)
Just showing this as there are some good buys out there second hand, for anyone on a budget.

Nose weight isn't the same as towing capacity FYI 😅

I've got a Buzzrack XL thing. Easily takes two Ebikes

Havnt used it much now though generally just put the bike in the car as it stops is getting absolutely ruined by road grime and salt

Love your Alpina!

I had an E46 B3 back in the day, lovely car and sold it to buy an Audi S3. I regret selling the B3 in retrospect, but I also quite miss the S3 as well!

Thanks, Had a period of no decent car after selling my M3 to fund property so glad to be back in something good.

It's the ultimate do all, daily that isn't mental money to run.

I don't know what their availability is in Europe, but I'm the States the go-to rack is 1UP. All metal construction, all parts available separately, they only touch the tires if the bikes, expandable up to 4 bikes, and loads of available options. After owning one, I would never use anything else.
